About this ebook

She has a wedding to plan. He has a wedding to prevent.

Danielle Morgan thought she had found her soulmate in Samuel Clarke. He was the perfect man. Kind, charming, funny, trustworthy... She was pretty sure they would be walking down the aisle eventually.

Samuel Clarke had never loved a woman as much as he loved Danielle. She was his partner in crime, his confidant, his other half. He believed the two of them had it all… until he realized she wanted to take the next step.

Scared of making such a big commitment, Samuel gets cold feet and walks away.

Five years later, he is invited to Danielle's wedding… to his best friend.

Danielle has finally moved on. Zach is the reliable man she never knew she needed, and she is ready to marry him and start a family. The only problem? Samuel Clarke is on the guest list.

Eager to help, he assists with the wedding preparations, spending more time with Danielle than she would have liked.

She can tell that something has changed in him, and something in her has not.

He seems ready to fight for her, and she still loves him.

Is it too late to call off this wedding and plan a new one?

**18+** Five Years Later is a VERY STEAMY second chance romance with a cute HEA!

Five Years Later - Fei Marie Perez

    Chapter 1

    Danielle

I opened the envelope and pulled out the thick piece of paper and flipped it over. I slowly took in the delicate flowers that dotted the edges, the swirly lettering, and the light pink background.

    Shouldn’t I feel excited?

    Then I started reading:

    Danielle Morgan and Zachary Pearson

invite you to the ceremony and celebration of their marriage

    July 12

    At 5 O’Clock

    Hotel Cerulean

    Cincinnati, OH

I could feel the bile rising in my throat as I read the words.

Danielle Morgan and Zachary Pearson. Danielle Morgan and Zachary Pearson. Danielle Morgan and Zachary Pearson.

The more time I read the invitation, the sicker I felt.

I know you had originally wanted tulips or poppies on the invitation but these peonies just looked so much better. I hope you don’t mind, Zachary said with a smile.

I nod and try to smile.

Don’t worry you can pick the cake flavor, he says with a wink.

I’ll take what I can get, I guess.

Just don’t pick something ridiculous like chocolate or lemon, he continues.

So I can’t pick either of my two favorite flavors? Ugh.

It’s fine, you always had a good eye for things like that, I say.

Will I be getting one of those? I hear a voice say.

I turn around and see the worst person I’ve ever met standing just a few feet away from me. Samuel Clarke. I wanted to scream, but I didn’t want to cause a scene in the middle of the print shop. But I was seriously considering it. Unfortunately, Zach did not share the same disdain for Sam. He immediately went over and embraced him and started talking a mile a minute about our wedding.

I can’t believe you’re getting married! Who’s the lucky girl? Sam says to Zach.

Danielle, you remember Sam, right? Zach says to me.

Sam looks in my direction and then does a double-take when he realizes who I am.

    I’m sorry, I don’t remember a Sam, I lie and I shrug for emphasis.

I wish I really could forget him.

I’m sure she’s just joking, how could she forget someone like you? Zach says to Sam.

It’s fine, I’m not really that surprised. She did always have the memory of a goldfish, Sam quips.

I roll my eyes and try to focus on something else in the print shop but fail. I can’t help but sneak a few peeks at Sam. The more I looked at him the more annoyed I got.

    No
