    Dedication

    To my Eridanus-Acamar,

The star I cherished and perished at the same road but in different time,

And still glaring my canopy though.

    To Abdulla and Maryam,

    My parents,

    My earliest master teachers,

    My contemplation,

    My rumination.

    To Mohamed, Maitha, and Haya,

    My children,

My perpetual learners and co-teachers too,

My {but} adornment of the worldly life ~

    (Surah 18- Al-Kahf- Juz’15- The Qur’an)

To all teachers in this universe,

    The donors,

    The impetus of life.

    To Niseko-Hokkaido,

The spiritual land and the peaceful mountain range where I jotted down my first words of this book.

    Ackowledgements

Accumulation of thoughts, notions, ideas of this book have been grown in the long-lasting conversations with my superlative friend Waroud AlZaidi during our regular meetings. Suns, moons, stars shine on our thoughtful, analytical, rational, scholarly, and somehow philosophical chatting whenever we meet. So special thanks to my truehearted Waroud, my friend of special choice of movies, documentaries, and peaceful thoughts.

Thanks go to another true friend and influential leader Omar Alblooshi for all the shared articles and updated information about this tech-world to cope with such vast prompt of the tech evolution. Discussing articles and ideas with Omar brought up many seeds to the content of this book despite the indirect topics for numerous subjects we discussed.

I extend special thanks to my respected teacher and my intellectual professor, and I can say my godfather, Dr. Negmeldin Alsheikh who generously recommended books for me, that I honestly consider his choice of books as my resources for various writings. I was fortunate to meet this great teacher whose insights refined my readings and envisaged my path of knowledge.

Thanks go to both of my professors, to my role models as well in working meticulously and being totally cogent about any piece of work before releasing it. Special thanks go to Dr. Mohamed Alhosani and Dr. Ali Ibrahim, who believed in the impact of educational leadership and bringing it to fruition through their vital expertise and prudence in education. Billion thanks for their constant encouragement and support.

A precise chapter about Data is part of this book, and I could never end my words here without sending special gratitude and acknowledgement to my professor Dr. Hassan Tairab who taught me the meaning of Data, the importance of having Data, and communicating with Data. Special thanks to his generosity and his encouragement.

Dr. Patrick Kane the noble-minded, my colleague and my teacher at the same time who I send great thankfulness on his open-handedness for any piece of knowledge he shares whenever he feels that it would make a difference and would help. Facts, ideas, knowledge in this book were shaped from the indirect discussion with Dr. Patrick.

Finally, I owe a great debt to my family – my three and only children: Mohamed, Maitha, and Haya who are always tolerant to my ideas or any other different thoughts, who are patient enough to all the time I spend in reading and writing even if this time would affect their intended plan to spend time with me, who are enriching my knowledge during any car rides through talking and discussing about their interests from the dimension of their native life – the life of alpha generation, and who are always caring with their very affectionate special care for me whether I am at home or outside or even overseas, which I can’t thank them enough for indeed.

    Author’s Note

How much we put from our budget into our appearance? How worried we feel for our looks?

What happens if we are sitting with friends and discover that we are wearing the shirt inside out accidently?

In contrast, do we spend equal budget for our mindsets that we spend on our appearance? Or less, or even no budget needed or spent for our mindsets?

Do we feel worry about the look of our inner thoughts and mindsets?

What happens if we found ourselves saying things that could be awkward for others or totally opposite to the common thoughts in a society?

Have we ever thought of a way for our mind’s rejuvenation? Do we have anti-ageing products for brains?

This book is not about staying young, it is not about mindset, neither about thoughts. It is a book that calls for re-thinking of teaching and learning as a lifestyle and not only schooling or methods in curriculum. It is a book that attempts to display a few points that could be the reasons behind the senility of teaching and the sickness of learning when it confronts some disorders in the process. This book is not for teachers only; rather it is for everyone who wants to be lifelong learner.

    Prologue

When I first entered the school as a teacher in 2001, I found myself confronting a mini society with diverse thoughts, beliefs, and intellects belonging to the same profession and the same big society with well-nigh culture and religion. The confrontation became wider when I started my duty as a school VP and the multiculturalism was growing in the pot heavier and thicker. My best time in my work was during the interaction with the diversified notions and intellectuals of the pot.

For me, the pot was tolerably melted
