After a narrow escape from dangerous attacks on their way to Earth, Zapper is adopted into the Gurble household, where Sally and her dog Scruff become suspicious of Zapper. Things take a different turn, and the whole mission is threatened.
Zapper is the first of two novels, followed by a sequel called The Revenge of the Fire Blazers.

Rebecca Amao grew up in West Africa, living in both Nigeria and Ghana. She graduated from University of Ibadan and worked in Lagos for a while before moving to Ghana, where she worked as a manager in a Telecommunications company for several years. She later relocated to Scotland to complete a postgraduate degree at the University of Dundee. During this time she continued to nurture her interest in music, art and writing. Her passion for writing has grown over the years, through her active social media presence, through which she shares varies articles. She currently lives in Scotland, where she continues to pursue her love for writing and music. ZAPPER is her debut novel.

he Gurbles had taken in a stray cat and named him Rubber because he liked rubbing his body against everything and leaving his fur everywhere. Eight-year-old Sally didn’t really like Rubber because he made her sneeze all the time. She mentioned this to her mum and her mum said she might be allergic to the cat.
Anyway, anytime Rubber tried to sit on her lap or rub its body against her, she would shoo him away. Rubber decided to give Sally a lesson on how to take care of cats. He licked his paws demurely and waited till Sally was watching TV alone and then he put his plan into action.
Rubber walked onto the sofa and jumped onto Sally’s lap, as soon as he did that Sally said, Oh no you don’t.
And gently lifted him off her lap, placing him on the carpet. But Rubber just jumped right back onto her lap and then Sally said, in a cross voice, NO!
pointing her finger at the cat. You’ll make me sneeze.
And that was when it happened. Rubber said to Sally, scowling and playfully hitting her hands with his right paw, Stop being a prat, you’re meant to stroke me and smooth my fur, not push me away. Besides, I could give you a nasty scratch and it’ll serve you right.
