As the world plunges into darkness by denying the very existence of God, people everywhere are becoming gripped with fear and anxiety as, increasingly, good is being called evil, and evil is being projected as good. However, the darker the world becomes the more God is revealing the light of his multifocal creation through His Holy Spirit-filled people. It is a confusing time to live in as truth is becoming twisted and forsaken in evil’s appetite for power, especially for those who do not know their heavenly Father. For some it would be an enormous relief to know that they do not have to walk through this confusion on their own but that the Word of God is, and can be, a lamp to our feet and a light to our paths.

This book serves to introduce us to the possibility of Kingdom Living, where we can live as ambassadors for the Kingdom of Heaven, subject to heaven’s laws within this earthly realm; and learn to live in God's favour and blessing. It contributes to a greater understanding of what is to be a Christian as it is one thing to talk about God and another to know Him personally; just as it is one thing to talk about being a Christian and another to live by faith as we go about our everyday lives. This empowerment comes from the heart by way of faith, and the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. Those who read it will have a greater understanding of what faith is and how to appropriate the promises of God through the practical and beneficial application of Christian values.

The reader is taken on a journey to explore the spiritual meanings behind the tribes that the Israelites had to defeat before they could possess the Promised land, and compares them with those demonic forces that plague us today and prevent us from entering our own ‘Promised land’. As we drive the demonic spiritual giants, demonstrated in this book, out of our lives, we can begin to live in ways that are acceptable to a holy, just and righteous God, and to incur His favour and prosperity that are written into the natural laws of sowing, planting and harvesting. The keys to Kingdom living are easy to apply to our everyday lives once we become aware of them, and allow us to walk closer to God.

The readers are encouraged to appropriate any keys that resonate with them. Life is a journey; and a process; and much has been learnt along the journey of writing this book as it is hoped that will be learnt by reading it!

FOREWORD

In many ways, this book speaks of my own journey into the promised land. Each Key that I describe is something that I have had to learn through my lived experience and, although I can look back and see just how far I have travelled over the years, I realise that there is much, much more land to conquer as the Lord continues to reveal His mysteries - even as I voyage into writing this book.

As the world plunges into a darkness by denying the existence of God, God is shining the light of his multifocal creation through His people who are filled with His Holy Spirit. The living Word of God is multi-layered, multi-faceted and always current in our lives. Every meaning of each word is relevant in the appropriate circumstance as the Holy Spirit reveals, and each Word is a lamp unto our feet; it is ours to explore and pursue and to grow, just as they did in the days of old.

I would ask that you read this book, and the bible henceforth, in the light that the purpose of the Bible is to teach us about the person Jesus, the Word, so that we can walk in closer fellowship with Him, not so that we can memorise and know the scripture.

To those people who have been hurt by the church, I want to express my sorrow and empathy; but I also want to remind you that religion is man-made and very often man-glorified. However, the heart of the Father is to bless his people and to draw them unto Him so that none shall perish. He gave us all free-will so that we could choose to be his bride, rather than create a world of robotic self-worshippers as is evident in the advancement of the socialistic political systems of today.

God has also chosen to partner with us, his creation, to bring about His plan for this world and for us. He has created each one of us with a uniqueness to showcase his glory; every one of us has a plan and a purpose for our lives. Each and every one of us is important to Him so much so that He knows our thoughts before we have said them, He knows our hearts, He knows the number of the hairs on our head; and He knows the end from the beginning of the entire creation.

On 8 November, 2020, when the world descended into the chaos of the United States election fraud, I felt that the Lord was saying that one of the things that will come out of this situation will be the unification of the body of Christ – the Church. And now, over a year later, it is true that everywhere, all over the world, the prophetic and the believing body of Christ is being called to unite to war in the heavenlies to contend for Truth and Justice. Just as the Spirit of the Lord came only when the disciples were of one accord, I believe we are to be of one accord and without division when Jesus comes for his Bride, and He is coming soon. The war has moved from the shores of the United States and has spread globally as the stand for freedom against tyranny touches us all.

We are in the final fight for humanity against the evil one, and we are all feeling oppressed as our freedoms are being removed one by one. The denominational differences that have separated the bride in the past are slowly being stripped away as the paradigms of religion are being challenged by truth and justice; and all that will remain will be the revelation that they were all once built upon. And that will ultimately be the strength that each denomination can bring to consolidate the Body of Christ (Robin Bullock).

So, I feel an urgency impressed upon my heart to share with many of you, at this time of the world’s history when so many people are struggling with their realities and choices, the keys to unlocking the promises that I have found and made mine.

I believe that each generation must stand on the shoulders of the previous generation and become better and more powerful as the darkness grows darker, and the light within us gets brighter and brighter.

I also believe that God is preparing his bride and needs his bride to become unified without denomination or division. How else can a God who values unity, truth and love above all else accept a bride unless she is without spot, or wrinkle, or judgement; as the only one qualified and commissioned to judge is our LORD? Did not Jesus, himself say Do not stop him, for no one who performs a miracle in My name can then turn around and then speak evil of Me when the disciples complained to him that there was someone else driving out demons in His name (Mark 9: 38 & 39). The question is which one are you? The answer lies in your heart, not your label.

Chapter One

INTRODUCTION

COVENANT OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

What is the Promised Land?

It’s a place where we can live and experience a renewed and healed existence in God’s supernatural provision for us, just as Adam and Eve experienced before the fall.

Jesus came that we might become reconnected through Him to the Father of all existence and regain what was lost in the garden.

In Romans 12 Paul describes how we need to live as living sacrifices with transformed and renewed minds as a unified body of Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:17 encourages us by acknowledging that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom – freedom to partake of our spiritual inheritance unique to each of us for the Glory of God and for the benefit of the entire body of Christ. 1 Peter1 and 2 establishes that we are God’s people and as such need to live holy and separated lives from the world around us by putting away negative attitudes and actions and trusting in the chief cornerstone of the foundation of our lives, Jesus Christ.

Paul encourages us to see that we have been called out of the darkness of this sinful world into the light. Heaven is our home. We are called to live free from sin, and sin’s power and domination - to live as free men and women under the freedom of Christ, not slaves to our flesh.

As we learn to stand on the Living Word of God which cannot come back void, we also need to learn how to receive God’s promises in our lives. God made covenant promises with the father of faith, Abraham, and the new covenant of mercy and grace through the death of Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour which surpasses but doesn’t replace, the law of Moses. These promises are active and alive today and we can choose to live by them each day. Indeed, this is what it is to walk in faith, as it is only by faith that we can please God. It is faith that moves God to answer our prayers, and we need to learn to walk in faith in order to appropriate our inheritance into our lives today and to walk in supernatural provision and power.
