About this ebook

Use your brainpower wisely rather than cramming in a ton of information and tasks!

When it comes to clearing your mind of all the things that are keeping you awake at night, "brain dumping" is the best way to do it. The author, a productivity expert, walks us through the process. In order to get the most out of your time and motivate you to take action, she teaches us how to properly use a calendar, provides us with the resources we'll need, and breaks down our tasks into manageable categories.

Taking control of your hectic life is the focus of this book, not time management. You'll feel more in control and less overwhelmed, and you'll have a greater sense of accomplishment now that you're focusing on what's truly important to you.

You'll be able to focus your mental energy on the tasks that really matter, both in your professional and personal lives, if you keep everything in one place.

Productivity for Women - JACQUELINE LAMBERT

    Overview

The distinction between being busy and being productive is significant.

At the end of the day, productivity yields a finished product. Being busy wastes time, leaving us unorganized, fatigued, overworked, and dissatisfied with our jobs while creating little. Examine what your firm or department is expected to deliver to increase output and get organized. Are they providing it or are they just busy? Are you one of them? Do you know what your actual or end product for your current position is? Men and women squander roughly the same amount of time per day (around 2.1 hours), and being unorganized is the primary culprit.

Implementing the weekly and daily Things to Get Done list or Battle Plan is critical for increased productivity, improved time management skills, continuity, and stress alleviation for you, your family, and your employees. Please note that I did not say to-do list, but rather to-get-done. There's a tremendous difference between saying you'd like to get something done (someday) and really getting it done. Begin to DOWNLOAD your ideas and clean the clutter from your head. Remove them from your mind! Jot them down on the computer, or in a spiral bound notepad if you like, and take one page per day to write down your daily to-do list. It is all up to you. You just must be disciplined enough to complete these duties on a daily basis. So set a timer for 15 to 30 minutes of uninterrupted time.

Updating your list in the afternoon or evening before production allows you to jump right into production the next morning. (Because your mind isn't racing with all the things you want to get done the next day, this action has been shown to improve one's sleep the night before.) This one step of downloading the night before generates predictability, which leads to simplicity, which is the key to productivity and having more time and space in your life to do the things you really want to do, not just the things you have to do.

Once you've automated your daily download, compose one for the full week—all of your key goals that you'll achieve that week, with all of the gradient minimum steps building up to each DONE. Some people like to put time frames in their jobs; if you do, go ahead and do so. It's always wise to do what's most practical for you.

It is preferable to put down your tasks from the perspective of a single responsibility or hat you wear. However, if you find it easier to incorporate ALL of your activities—both personal and professional—then give it a shot. You might find it easiest to get organized by making two lists: one at home and one for work. Do whatever you find to be the most effective for you.

A good time manager is also considered to be an excellent leader. Why is this the case? because they take the required actions to accomplish their organization's goals. They look for places and items that require fine-tuning and then use concepts to make them work. Additionally, a smart time manager understands how to inspire and drive others to develop new and more efficient ways to spend their time. They set an excellent example and are helpful with their guidance and knowledge. As leaders, they are continuously exchanging ways, insights, and approaches for managing time, states of affairs, and conditions more effectively.
