INTRODUCTION
Why Parenting? - An Introduction
Why should we learn about parenting? What is the need of a concept called parenting
? Did our parents study all this in books and bring us up? Can we be good parents without knowing about parenting
? These are some of the questions in parent’s minds. And there are some more...
Are parents who mastered parenting
the best in handling all child-parent issues?
Actually, what is parenting
?
The concept of parenting is here to help you think
when you, as a parent, face situations at home that are difficult to handle. Parenting cannot solve all your problems, but can help you recover quickly from negative moments in the relationship with your family members.
This book will help you understand your own self as a parent and encourage optimistic thinking.
The questions still continue...
Will we as parents be able to handle children wisely? Or will children take advantage of parents who are lenient?
How good are we in handling children's questions? If children don't get the right answers or answers that satisfy their curiosity, the image of being intelligent parents
will be broken. Pampering them is different from buying everything they ask for. However, both pampering and granting all their needs will lead to a wrong understanding in children's minds. So, dear parents please understand these two clearly. It is essential for you to know what can be given and what cannot be granted.
Do all parents require knowledge about parenting
? Yes. However, few parents can learn on their own and a few others will learn if someone guides them. But to handle emotions and critical situations when we don't have answers, parenting
can come to your rescue.
What purpose will this book serve for you?
This will book will present miniscule observations about children and you will learn to observe what children don't tell you in words. You will apply distinctive learning in your parenting style and remarkably improve the relationship you have with your child as their parent.
What is Parenting REVO?
The word Revo
is an abbreviation of Revolution coined by the book's author Ra like sec for second, ma'am for Madam and like the frequent words in this book: mom (mother) and dad (father)s. But the incidents, dialogues, conversations and learning through the conversations in this book are not in short form like Revo. Though the conversations in this book are primarily by children, the purpose of writing them is deep. It will serve in each and every chapter. It makes you to understand your children, your spouse and other relationships clearer, rather than earlier.
While reading incidents in this book, you will either recollect your childhood days or recall memorable.
moments you spent with your children. You might just read for pleasure too. The second category of conversation in this book brings you a very serious learning. This book also insists that you maintain a good relationship with your spouse, because family means both spouse and children.
These days when children talk, they seem too smart and as if they are talking stuff that is irrelevant to their age and experience. But, that is the place where this book creates a distinction and makes a unique point.
The first few chapters may seem light and casual to read and will prepare you to grasp heavier thoughts discussed in the chapters that come later. And in some of the chapters, the author didn't mean to make them heavy, but it just happened.
The author had a really good journey writing, in fact, walking through this book. He enjoyed writing each and every chapter, sentence and word. He used imaginary incidents and any co-incidence with names and experiences in real are purely co-incidental.
This book is written in a variety of styles: scripts, dialogues, children talking in narrative style, parents talking in narrative styles in order to be interactive. At some places, after dialogues, there will be a quick voice-over from the author's side, because it would be suitable for Ra to take charge and convey that message to you as your well-wisher. Trust, as you read this book, you will see Ra as your well-wisher. You might feel like he is speaking as if he is part of your family. But he used this style only where he felt that the situations are critical enough for him to intrude.
He didn't want children to preach, in this book. But in some chapters, he violated this rule. Why? Because he felt that nobody other than your children would be the right person to demand
