Thanks to San Luis Obispo County’s Poets on the Edge for working me over for years

And to my very best husband forever,

    John F. Turrill

Poetry is like mathematics. Both force us to recognize the relationship between two concepts coming from disparate levels of abstraction.

Einstein hinted that we cannot fix a plumbing problem with an historian no matter how polite he is.

Nor can we solve a pandemic with bleach!

You won’t need a math dictionary to read mine and you don’t need to read the pages in order. Many pages have lots of room for you to react. Bring your pen. . .

Simply open the book at random, take two readings a day and call me in the morning.
