My Pleasure, My Joy, My Pain

What makes my book, My Pleasure, My Joy, My Pain so unique is that I've experienced almost every emotion in life there is to know. I lived in a dysfunctional family where secrets were kept. I have written about those secrets in my poetry hoping to allow my readers to open up and be able to talk about their own personal lives and the struggles they have gone through. I once heard someone say, "When a person has struggled enough, they will become a good writer." I have struggled my entire life. However, I have experienced joy and pleasure as well as pain, and have poured out my heart in my poetry. Whoever reads my book will find themselves in at least one or two poems to which they can relate. Hopefully, when that happens, a healing will begin.

D esire

For me to utterly and wholly desire you

is for me to crave the stimulation you

give my mind from your humorous and

thought-provoking anecdotes you tell me that

tickle my fancy and it brings to my lips a sexy laugh

I hunger for your moist and hot kisses

as your tongue thrusts itself deeper and

deeper into my waiting and longing mouth

until it reaches its destination while we

breathlessly are eager for one another

Your eyes, they speak volumes to me,

not to ever go away, but to instead, say,

yes baby, because I have a deliberate appetite

for your manly nature which makes me give

into you with spirited and wild abandon

I find that I have to be, I must be yours,

for I hunger and yearn to know an
