    Spiritual Warfare - Ephesians 6:12-13

Verse 12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Do not misunderstand the scope of the mission you have been called to perform. It can be quite daunting. Just when you have identified yourself as God’s servant, you immediately invoke the powerful darkness which is the fallen archangel Lucifer. He is coming for you - be sure of that. You will not have an easy road; however, if you are truly God’s servant, you know you have no other choice!

Just to be sure - ninety-five percent or more of the entire Christian population, even if they call themselves Christian, are following the plan of the master of deception. They might not know this is true, but it is. Our goal is to turn the four or five percent of God’s true servants into ten, twenty, and fifty percent of the world’s population. Daunting.

It won’t come easy. God says frequently that you will be the target of the dark forces of this world if you choose to follow His path. The world is tempting in all of its glorious and obscure fixings. Media, social media, newspapers, magazines, internet, your neighbors and community, will all invite you into participating in the things of this world almost constantly.

Being a true servant of God means you are no longer a part of this world. This will come clear as you continue reading.

Verse 13  - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.¹

It is a moral imperative that you not fall back into worldly beholdings, and so read carefully. I have prepared spiritual armour for you, which will be vital in order for you to succeed in God’s plan for you. Lucifer is the force of all evil throughout the planet today. God has also provided us with two archangels who, if He so chooses, can come to us directly to answer prayers if that is the manner in which He would like to answer us. Above all things, we must seek God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and let God answer how He wishes. This knowledge is part of the whole armour of God that is necessary for us to combat the evil prevalent in the world today.

However, to start, let us be clear, the Bible states that in our world there exist three, what we call Archangels, throughout all of the earth’s ages:

    Gabriel the messenger angel

    Luke 1:

¹¹And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

¹²And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

¹³ But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

¹⁴ And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

¹⁵ For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

¹⁶ And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

¹⁷ And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

¹⁸ And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

¹⁹ And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

So, to be clear, we are to adopt the mission of Gabriel, to bring others to God. He is God’s messenger, ready to speak to us and to shine God’s light our way should God choose to send him to us. If so, we must be available and ready to listen. Our paths will be made clear as we listen - clear that we are not to tell God what we need, but to listen to God’s guidance, which is sufficient for us.

²⁰ And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

²¹ And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

²² And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

²³ And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

²⁴ And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

²⁵ Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

²⁶ And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

²⁷ To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

²⁸ And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
