Robert gazed over the bedroom balcony, looking down with pride at the gathering of family and friends in the garden below. It was a beautiful July summer’s day with not a cloud in the sky, but a refreshing breeze made the weather perfect for the lavish family barbecue that he scanned over happily.
It was the stereo-typical scene. First there were the small huddles of men, deep in conversation, tightly gripping their beer bottles for dear life, while simultaneously trying (clumsily) to devour pieces of meat without missing their mouths or missing the opportunity to make their point. Their point in case was on the one and only subject that they all had in common, and which was where they would all have expert opinions and insights into their chosen subject...sport. Robert had never watched his gender in action from a distance before, Is that really what we look like?
