About this ebook
Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book.
Book Preview: #1 The first steps towards financial freedom are learning how to spend less and save more, two things that will make you feel satisfied with your life and your financial situation.
#2 If you are going to pursue money, do so for a reason. Money should only be a process used to obtain your goals, not the means itself.
#3 Money can add pleasure to people’s lives, but it doesn’t bring the true happiness that comes from self-respect, accomplishment, and satisfaction. The more you pursue feeling better, the less satisfied you become, because pursuing something only reaffirms the fact that you lack it in the first place.
#4 We are trying to chase happiness but never seem to get there. We are always wanting more. How can we ever be content.

#1
The first steps towards financial freedom are learning how to spend less and save more, two things that will make you feel satisfied with your life and your financial situation.
#2
If you are going to pursue money, do so for a reason. Money should only be a process used to obtain your goals, not the means itself.
#3
Money can add pleasure to people’s lives, but it doesn’t bring the true happiness that comes from self-respect, accomplishment, and satisfaction. The more you pursue feeling better, the less satisfied you become, because pursuing something only reaffirms the fact that you lack it in the first place.
#4
We are trying to chase happiness but never seem to get there. We are always wanting more. How can we ever be content.
#5
We are bad at remembering what made us happy or unhappy in the past. Our brain generalizes one feeling for an entire event, and if we remember a moment as pleasant and enjoyable, we tend to remember the entire experience as pleasant and enjoyable.
#6
When people want happiness, they usually seek pleasure. However, pleasure is not the same as happiness. People who focus their efforts on materialistic pleasures end up more emotionally unstable and unhappy over the years.
#7
The top five regrets of the dying are: I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. I wish I hadn’t worked so much. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends. I wish I had let myself be happier.
#8
The idea is that you can work on lowering your expectations, improving your reality, or both to be happy. However, this approach oversimplifies happiness and ignores the fact that life is about growing, achieving, failing, and learning from everything in between.
#9
The vastness of space compared to the size of our planet is a reminder that we are incredibly lucky to be alive. We have won the lottery.
#10
Gratitude is defined as the quality of being thankful, a readiness to show and return kindness. It is a powerful tool that can increase happiness levels by as much as 25 percent.
#11
Happiness does not come from money. It comes from changing your reality and taking action. What excites you. Taking
