Why Budgeting Is Not an Option

About this ebook
This book answers these questions in detail.
WHAT IS A BUDGET?
Simply put, a budget is an itemized summary of likely income and expenses for a given period. It helps you determine whether you can grab that bite to eat or should head home for a bowl of soup.
HOW IMPORTANT IS BUDGETING?
Planning and monitoring your budget will help you identify wasteful expenditures, adapt quickly as your financial situation changes, and achieve your financial goals. When you actually see the breakdown of your expenses, you may be surprised by what you find; this process is essential to fully grasp how things can add up. Creating a budget will decrease your stress levels because, with a budget, there are no surprises.
Unexpected car problems or medical bills? That dream vacation your best friends are planning? With a budget, you don’t have to panic or wonder if you have the money—you already know. This sense of financial clarity is important not only in college but throughout life. So the question is - What kind of life, future, destiny do you intend to build? A Tower or ordinary life. This helps you to budget to determine the kind of future you want to have and your legacy I.e. what you want to leave behind.
Why BUDGETING? What should you budget?
There are several good reasons for preparing a financial statement and for budgeting.
*Budgeting helps to guide and restrain your spending making it easier to control.
*It keeps you honest and sincere. "A man without decision of character can never be said to belong to himself . . . . He belongs to whatever can make captive of him." — John Foster, Author
*The reason some don’t like to budget is that it reveals the real truth about their financial state or situation.
*A budget is only useful if it is accurate and you keep to it by keeping track or records of your expenditure vis-a-vis your income.
*The main reason for recording your income and expenditure is to determine accurately what you're earning and spending.
*Budgeting is vital because, without it, it is so easy to fall into debt.
*Budgeting Enables you to see where and how you can improve your financial position.
