    Author’s Notes

I pray this book will challenge you as a believer to take the limits off God. It will be your thinking that is going to change your life. It is one thing to know the word of God, but quite another thing to use the word and to walk in it. When your thinking starts to take on a life of its own in God, you will be in a place where God can show up and show out. To reach this place in God, you must take a risk.

It is my desire to share spiritual truths that have been revealed unto me. I desire to inspire someone to gain new insights from the word of God. If this book will assist one person to sharpen his or her spiritual tools, I will be pleased. The Lord deals with each of us in various ways and on different levels. It is my prayer that the content within this book will meet and fulfill a spiritual desire. Also, I want you, the believer, to notice and understand your value. Satan is a relentless adversary who pursues all to the grave. So as you read, keep in mind this is another voice in God’s vineyard working out his salvation.

I dedicate this book to my church family and my loving wife, Emma King. I have experienced the love of God through the eye of an evangelist, the eye of a pastor, and now as an apostle. Remember faith comes by hearing and by hearing the voice of God.

If you will read out loud and allow God to speak to the inner man, there is a blessing locked within the following pages for you.

What you think about entirely depends upon you, but consider this: are your thoughts producing life or death, happiness or unhappiness? Remember it will be your choice on what you retain and what you discard. You have that special place within you where you are able to retreat to: your memory. Allow it to become your safe haven.

Your memory can also become your proving grounds for obtaining success; take the time and thoroughly hash things out. Your memory can become the place where you come up with intelligent decisions. If you will allow God the opportunity to harness your energy and bring your thoughts into reality, those thoughts will be a blessing to you and also to others. Confront those thoughts that have limited you and erase them from the canvas of your mind. Because what you think about subconsciously will instinctively start growing inwardly. And ultimately, what you spend time thinking about inwardly will directly have an effect upon what you pursue outwardly.

The word of God must become one’s daily meal; when we digest it, we will discover choice nutrients to sustain the spirit man on a daily basis. Everything we endeavor to accomplish should be reinforced by prayer and Bible study. Satan can only defeat us through the lack of knowledge. It is imperative that one’s hands remain attached to the gospel plow. Make it your goal to live so that when you depart, you will meet your maker in peace and in love. What we do not know may limit us to an extent that we could almost walk into our future backward. As we gain wisdom and revelation knowledge, the path where we once stumbled can become the corridor for advancement.

One’s respect for God must outweigh all the negative urges that will surface through Satan. What God places inside of us is so much greater than any weapon that may come against us. It is God’s desire that we will outperform Satan in every area where he comes to present a problem. Through our daily victories, we will build a strong confidence to walk with and please God. It will be one’s thinking that will determine the path that one follows in this life. So make deep intimate thinking a central part of your life and listen to the voice of God for your direction.

The more you desire to know, the more God is willing to impart unto you. Sometimes it takes giving up something before one can receive something. If you can sow a harvest into studying, you can reap a season of learning. God will prove you through testing.

The words that proceed from within reflect one’s inner faith. May God’s blessings be in your life. May his Spirit abide within the soul, and may his love direct your path.

If you plan to be something, be willing to do something. Stop looking at where you have been, but take notice to where you are going and allow God to take you there. This book may not be for everyone, but there is a segment in the body of Christ that will thrive from the information that will be deposited deep within their spirit. To you I say, allow God’s Holy Spirit to minister to your heart and begin to see the revelations that will begin to flow from within. What will your life speak about you once you have expired—will it speak about the things that you thought upon and the truth that you incorporated into your lifestyle and followed? Please allow the rest of your life to become the best of your life.

All of the scriptures that have been quoted in this book have come out of the King James Version.

    Chapter One

    Managing One’s Thinking

As one becomes engrossed within deep thinking, one begins to see other dimensions that have gone undiscovered. Since God looks at the inner man and not the outer man, one must make a mental connection within oneself. This journey will begin with deep intimate thinking. A human being should be able to think one’s way through any situation that they encounter. The way in which one approaches a situation mentally determines the outcome, whether it will be positive or negative. It is how a situation is perceived that determines the outcome.

Likewise, one’s position in God has a profound effect upon determining how one faces the various challenges that life will bring.

In the case of death and loss, most human beings need to be mentally fortified.

This fortification comes from having a working knowledge and understanding of God’s word. Not only must one know the scriptures, but one needs to understand how to apply the principles of the scripture to their life. When you understand what it is that you are facing, you can accept the circumstances more readily. There is a tremendous benefit to be gained through Bible study and meditation as it relates to death and loss. Clear and precise thinking allows one to be at peace with oneself and God.

It is when one’s thinking becomes cloudy and out of control when problems arise. An uncontrolled thought is like a locomotive zooming down a railroad track out of control.

What you are willing to do with what you know makes one powerful. Power is released into one’s mind through thoughts that provide direction, insight, and the truth.

Thoughts that bring negative and harmful results must be discarded as soon as possible.

Faith and thinking go hand in hand, like peanut butter and jelly. One’s faith has a direct correlation with one’s thinking, especially in the area of receiving. It is what you have faith in today that opens doors for opportunity. When your thinking is aligned with your faith, multiple opportunities lie within fingertip reach.

Thoughts become building blocks by which one may shape his or her spiritual life. These thoughts are derived from thinking about something. In Romans 10:17, we see that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the word of God. You need to first hear something or read about something before you can think about it. The elevation of one’s thought into action will cause either positive or negative things to start happening. As we receive information, it becomes the source upon which one builds. It becomes rather important to watch carefully what we are allowing to become a part of our information network from this network of information which has arisen from the thoughts that have filtered through one’s system; this source of information becomes the basis from which we shall make decisions that will affect one’s life.

It becomes imperative for the believer to read and to meditate on God’s word.

From your Bible study and meditation, thoughts will begin to surface. It is the truth that is revealed from God’s word that is coming to light. As you apply deep thinking into God’s word, the mystery from God’s word will be released through revelation knowledge.

Revealed knowledge has a lot to do with breaking down conditions to God’s promises.

When you understand what the condition is, you can enjoy the promise. In Acts 26:2a, it states, I think myself happy. If how one thinks can be that important, why not apply that principle to whatever you plan to receive in life? I believe that one’s fate begins with how one is thinking. Both gladness and sadness come from how one thinks. Choose to be happy whenever possible. When man realigns his thinking with God’s word, many pitfalls may be avoided. Gravitate toward those thoughts that provide direction, insight, and unlock truth. I believe it is an asset when you recall a pleasant experience during a time of difficulty. Pleasant experiences, like umbrellas, have a way of allowing negative thinking to run off like raindrops.

Although man will face times of difficult thinking, God can make that transition easier with how one manages those thoughts. Difficult thinking is a part of life. Yet how we manage is what yields either a blessing or a curse. It might sound strange, but one must pick and choose the things that one decides to dwell upon. Random thoughts are like misguided bullets; they all land somewhere. It is one’s thinking that sets things in motion. If you can recall the story of the prodigal son, when he came to himself, his thoughts began to provide him with direction. Because one’s memory is the storehouse for one’s thoughts, God has to place within us instant recall to remember those things which have slipped out of sight and out of mind. Deep thinking that has been inspired by the Holy Ghost can walk us out of difficult situations.

Thoughts begin in the unseen world but manifest in the known world. If we think on something long enough, it is amazing how those thoughts will begin to take legs and walk. It makes absolutely no difference whether the thought is positive or negative: it will produce something. In retrospect, when one’s mind is cluttered with many thoughts, one’s life becomes cluttered. Your life will follow your thinking. The way that we think will dictate the kind of lifestyle that one pursues. We have not because we think not.

It will be one’s thinking that will propel them from one level to another level. What you are able to believe God for will determine one’s success. It is imperative that one spends quality time filtering through those thoughts which will affect one’s life.

You might say that the power of an idea is formed within deep thinking. The power for great ideals exists only in the minds of an individual. When the individual shares their ideal by speaking or through writing about it, the birth of that ideal will set in flight, change, fulfill and accomplish for those individuals who receive the revelation.

God places a high value upon man’s thinking. God provides some guidelines to assist man with his thinking. In Philippians 4:8 we see principles that will direct man with his thinking, Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. In these five whatsoever elements of honesty, just, purity, lovely, and issues of a good report, we have the direction needed to stop one from missing the mark. In Proverbs 11:5, it states that our thoughts need to be right.

"Your thinking will directly connect you into a source. Whether you choose God or Satan, a connection is formed. It is impossible for sweet and bitter to proceed from the same fountain; likewise, neither good nor evil will proceed from the same spirit; you will be controlled by one or the other. Hopefully, you will yield your spirit into the hands of God.

Many of the experiences that you face in life leave deposits within your mental laboratory of thinking. From our infancy, we begin to make these deposits. They find a resting place in one’s memory. Some lessons learned are more difficult and provide more value than others. When life takes that unnatural turn, and it will, at that time one needs to recall a specific experience that assisted them in overcoming an issue. At that time, the Holy Ghost becomes instrumental in assisting the believer with recalling the situation and the lesson that was learned from the experience. In Hebrews 11:1, we read, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Those things that you believe God for become part of your blueprint. The evidence of things that we learn from become our book markers in life. It is the evidence of what we have learned that becomes the foundation for one’s thinking to be established upon. Even though it may be the evidence of something that cannot be seen, it yet remains tucked away. In Isaiah 12:3, it declares, Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the well of salvation. We must make sure that we are placing the right things into the reservoir.

Because when we need to draw those experiences out, we can only draw from that which has been placed within.

Make sure your spiritual depository is being filled with lessons that are being learned through daily living. Both trials and errors are making deposits into this depository, so the entire negative must be carefully sifted out. We are constantly learning and gleaning knowledge from various sources: books, tapes, and media, just to name a few. One’s daily Bible study should be an unlimited source for making daily deposits. We also receive knowledge through both direct and indirect means; not only is God speaking through others but he is also speaking directly to individuals. These lessons that we are learning become one’s personal evidence that we have to draw upon. It will be up to the believer to determine what they choose to think upon.

It is God’s desire for man to unlock the hidden mysteries that are contained within his word. To tap into that wisdom, one must have an open heart to receive revelation knowledge that is coming directly from the spirit of God. Revelation knowledge proceeds from deep thinking and meditation upon the word of God. It was Jesus’s desire that his disciples walked in the area of deep thinking. In Mark 8:27b, he poses a question to them: Whom do men say that I am? Jesus wanted to know who was looking into the deeper things of God. Jesus was looking to see who had the insight by the spirit of who he was.

In the area of deep thinking is where we begin to tap into the spiritual vein of God.

In Ephesians 3:20, there is a principle worth looking at: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we may ask or think. When you can stretch out in your thinking, there is a wealth of knowledge to be harvested. One’s thinking can take one exceeding and abundantly beyond what you have thought or imagined. This deep thinking must start with desire. Desire and a willingness to obtain more will thrust you into an arena that has eluded you in the past. Dreams are conceived through the unconscious mind through inward thinking. What you are willing to invest into your dream will either produce your substance or a failure. One’s success will begin with how much effort one is willing to invest into thinking. Intense desire and relentless thinking should move an individual into action.

Never allow yourself to become paralyzed by negative thinking. Satan will do everything possible to contaminate one’s thinking with an outdated set of values; if you allow it, he will intimidate you into believing that you will never receive God’s best. It is what one perceives in their thinking that allows one to walk into their God-given rights.

Both perception and desire work together to unlock and open doors for the believer to channel their thinking into the revealed knowledge of God. Never allow your thoughts to run rampant. In 2 Corinthians 10:5, it says, "Casting down
