Reviews:

“Jesus is not Jehovah’s son” is very awful and shocking idea. What they just believe the different of Jehovah and Paul is like to get a graph from a horn bush. Luther couldn’t change the religion but this book called the big revolution over the religion.
-- Man Sung Park, Carpenter

Jesus is not the Son of Yahweh (Jehovah) is the one of the greatest book that defines the truth that Jesus want to teach easily and clearly. As the writer say, if we would know the truth that teaches by Jesus, the Christianity and Buddhism would meet each other and the human would finds the true freedom and happiness which is high dimension over the religion.
-- Seung Taek Lee, Prof of University of Foreign Studies

This book is to understand easily for Christianity problem that views the reader’s mind deeply. This book is not picked up various stories but is expressed what the writer who realized the truth felt and saw through in deep mind. The Gospel in Brief written by Leo Tolstoy is even for the starting to question for Christianity but this book is important to complete Jesus’ teaching.
--Jung Bu Jo, Student of Theological School

Read this book, what oppose other’s religions and we call heresy or Satan in same religions is because they all don’t know the truth. I respect more Jesus, foresighted leader realized, after read this book. I hope it’s not only all the people find the order and the peace met each other, but also all the religion by this book.
--Ye Jin Lee, Teacher of Middle School

Why don’t Theologians and Ministers know this contents yet? They can’t find the truth to know easily like this for 2000 years long. The refinding the truth in Jesus’ teaching is the most popular, important event in the world and it will be a bright light for all human.
--Woo Nyun Lee, Farmer

I went church for 50 years long, but in my mind I always got a question and a doubt. However, this book clears all the question and doubt. I’ve never heard the book detailed
and lectures quoted like this Bible for Jesus’ Teachings. I knew now that praying in the Church “the Apostles’ Creed” or the doctrine of Christ are not fixed anything else.
-- Jun Su Kim, Rep. Publishing Firm.

“Jesus said if the person who would eat my flesh and blood, they will live forever.” It does not mean that if they believe the blood split from Jesus and the revival of Jesus, they got a forgiveness and a relief and go to the heaven. This book defines that if they follow Jesus’ teaching and get the new life beyond the life and death.
-- Chang Suk Kim, Homemaker

It’s the first time to see the uninteresting and difficult book. It’s uneasy to understand and a lot to accept in my mind. But it’s a book of low balance to blame whom or to support. I am going to compare the contents of this book and t

    Preface

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. (John 17:17)

B Y THE MESSAGE contained in these Bible verses, Jesus is trying to teach us the nature of truth. If truth were easily understood, there would be no reason for Jesus to teach by means of parables. Christians may praise God and claim salvation without understanding Jesus’s message; thus, many denominations have arisen.

With blind faith and obedience, these Christians may satisfy themselves, but in reality are constructing their prison. For this reason, two thousand years after Jesus’s teachings, the world, far from changing for the better, has become more corrupt.

God is not living in heaven or somewhere else watching us, nor does he judge us after death for our deeds or for our faith. Rather, God is with us all the time, not only while we are living, but before we are born and after we die. He is the Word of God who is the truth.

Jesus is not the Son of Yahweh God. Rather, he is the Son of God who was awakened to God’s truth. By God’s Word, Jesus tried to help us find the treasure in our minds, which is the realization of the kingdom of heaven.

You and I and all existence are a part of the whole, rather than individual beings. Those who have not yet recognized the treasure in their own minds continue to be restricted by worries, fears, and false desires. If we can overcome the illusion of our individuality, we can be awaken to the truth; then we can become the children of God, the Son of God, and attain eternal life, true happiness, and freedom.

The intention of this book, Jesus is not the Son of Yahweh (Jehovah), is neither to support nor to criticize any specific denomination. It neither subscribes to the black/white theory of the new religions, which is heresy, nor does it pander to temporary interest or curiosity. Rather, it seeks to deliver Jesus’s teachings in its right meaning.

The twelve disciples learned directly from Jesus and passed along his message. I learned Jesus’s teachings and was awakened to the truth by meditation and ascetic practices. Therefore, I call myself the thirteenth disciple.

If you approach this book without prejudice or undue attachment to old beliefs, but with openness to insight, you will be able to easily understand the teachings of Jesus.

I hope Christians and non-Christians alike can come to know Jesus through this book and that this knowledge will lead them to a life of real love and happiness.

    Chapter I

JESUS IS NOT THE SON OF YAHWEH

T HE GOSPEL SAYS, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1), or Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made (John 1:3), which meant that the Word equal to God and the Word is infinite and unchanging with a subject that exists. Also, the Word makes up everything that happened, but we didn’t acknowledge the Word itself.

But he was in the world, and the though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him (John 1:10), or The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14) are likely that we perceive Jesus’s Word realized in the Word of God, and so we are one, not each one, and we are aware of other features of Word from God. Just if you realize the truth, you get a glory of Father likely to Jesus, this glory is a favor, salvation, and entrance to heaven of God.

The Christians believe the Word in the world, as if they turn away from the truth of Jesus’s teachings, deceived by Jehovah’s (god of Jewish tribes) threat or false, or the Word becomes human. They believe that Jesus came here, born from Mary, the virgin with Jehovah’s spirit, and saying creative God or sole God, we also just believe Jehovah’s subordinations. Therefore, holding on to Jehovah, revenging and judging, we didn’t live not only to love and to forgive but also not to take away our sins.

Jesus said to a lawyer of commandments and the Pharisees, Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to (Matt. 23:13), or Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit (Matt. 15:13-14).

There is no truth to the belief that one can enter heaven by devoting one’s self to Jehovah, the God of the scribes and the Pharisees. Only just that Jehovah is not God saying, as Jesus is calling Father, and we can’t enter into heaven by a rescuer following to their Word as set up by Jehovah.

It says, Jesus said to them, ‘I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven’ (John 6:32), or For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world (John 6:33), or This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever (John 6:58). That is not the Father’s Word, truth that gives eternal life; the bread that Moses brought, through Jehovah from heaven, prolongs only the body’s life. And God did not give true life to the forefathers because they still died after having partaken of the bread.

Jesus, through love itself, has healed the patient on Sabbath Day. Jesus said to them, ‘My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working (John 5:17), and Then he said to them, ‘The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath (Mark 2:27-28). That means that Jesus’s Word of God is not Jehovah’s. If Jesus, as a son of Jehovah, is devoted to Jehovah, he won’t be working to disobey the commandment to rest in Sabbath or say to his father such disrespectful words?

Besides, You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life (John 5:39-40), or You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding on to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44). There is just a testimony about Jesus in the Old Testament (Hebrews), but no truth like the true-life teachings of Jesus. And the Jews said that Jehovah is their father, children of devil, or Jehovah is your father; and there is no truth in the statement that God, who is Jesus’s Father, is not his father.

And the Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it (Luke 16:16), or Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, ‘Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it (Luke 10:23-24). It means that because Jehovah is not the God of the Word, nobody who has believed Jehovah before John or disciplines didn’t enter into the heaven with understanding the truth.

Jesus said to the scribes and Pharisees, Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without knowing it (Luke 11:44), or All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them (John 10:8). There is no truth in getting true life from following the commandments of Jehovah or the prophecy and nobody understands it. Christians are not only obeying Jehovah with love and grace but also believing that Jehovah is the father of Jesus.

    1. THE WORD BECOMES A PERSON

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4)

The Word and God are one and the same, the Word existed before the creation of heaven and earth, and it doesn’t have a beginning or an ending. It is changeless and eternal. While the Word and God are one, the Word itself cannot be realized. However, it appeared in the phenomenal world as the existence of creation. The Word and the phenomenal world, existing in creation, are not different in time and space; in the same way, the top of your hand cannot be separated from the palm, nor salt from ocean water.

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him (John 1:10). This means that God is not outside of the world but rather inside the world. He tried to create all of existence from inside the world, but the world did not know the Word. This is original sin and unknown in Buddhism. In other words, not knowing the Word created the illusion of having sinned – original sin.¹

The Word is light, it shines on everything, and all life is one. The existence of the phenomenal world through the Word is recognizable, but it is not real; it exists temporarily, then disappears, and it has life, then is destroyed. It is a false image. All that exists in the world is the manifestation of God’s Word. We view, as is God’s creation, and think that God is up in the sky, in heaven; and instead of following Jesus’s teachings, which are true, we are led into illusion and believe that God is judgmental and revengeful.

Genesis 1:1 tells us, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. That is the theory of creation. But Genesis 2:17 warns, But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die. That is the theory of original sin, which tells about Adam and Eve and the breaking of God’s commandment and being expelled from the Garden of Eden, but it is not the truth.

All the creation we see directly is the truth. But to have insight, that is enlightenment.

    2. THAT PERSON IS OVERFLOWING WITH GOD’S GRACE AND TRUTH

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

That the Word became a person does not mean that the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus through the Virgin Mary. God (Father), which is the Word, appeared in the world with the Holy Spirit being the Son. That is the Trinity.

Everything in the world appeared through the Trinity, but the world didn’t know; Jesus became the only Son of God because he received special honor and glory – Jesus was enlightened, full of grace and truth. Christians found the Trinity God through Yahweh. They still didn’t know the Word of God.

The concepts of morals or ethics are not truths. Truth sees good and evil as one concept, sublimated with love. Seeing good as good and evil as bad, and trying to eliminate evil, prevents us from seeing the truth of Jesus’s teachings. Our egos, which are getting bigger every day, become disciples of evil.

Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? (John 8:46), and You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me (John 18:37). The four Gospels were written about Jesus’s teachings, but Christians did not find the treasure; instead, they clung to Yahweh, calling, Lord, Lord, in false belief.

    3. THEY DIDN’T BELIEVE THE SON OF GOD

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:16-18)

Everyone who has faith in him may not perish but have eternal life. That is unlike Yahweh who judges right and wrong and inflicts punishment. We all take for granted that each person is an individual in his own body. This Bible verse tries to teach us that we are not individuals, but rather a part of the whole.

God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:17). If we understand this Bible verse, we know that everything we do is done, not by our own action, but by God; we are not the doers. Therefore, since we are not judged as sinners and are forgiven, we have no limitations. We can enjoy our happiness, our freedom, and our eternal life, which are the salvation of God’s kingdom.

The unbeliever has already been judged because he has not put his trust in God’s only Son. This doesn’t mean that after death, he will go to hell, but that he does not know the truth. We think we are individuals, so we worry about everything, fear everything, restrict and limit ourselves, and live as slaves of illusion.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that everyone who has faith in him not perish but have eternal life. Jesus is love and also eternal, as is God. He is the only Son of God; if we believe in the only Son, we can understand the truth and earn eternal life.

But it is a fallacy to believe that the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus as the only Son of God. It is also a fallacy if we believe that after death or resurrection, we go to heaven and have eternal life.

    4. MY FATHER CONTINUES TO WORK, AND I MUST WORK TOO

Jesus said to them, My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working. For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. (John 5:17-18)

Jesus is my Father. The Trinity means Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It also means the Word of God. If so, is Yahweh the God of the Trinity? According to the Old Testament, Yahweh God created heaven and earth and is judgmental and vengeful. According to the New Testament, Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made (John 1:3); That they may be one as we are one (John 17:11). Yahweh God is a false God, but not the God of the Trinity.

The true God has no beginning and no ending and is changeless. He doesn’t exist as an external personage, but rather is within us. He manifests himself in every existence, but we are caught up in illusion and do not realize that God is within us.

According to the Heart Sūtra (Homage to the pranjñā-pāramitā), worldly substances have no corporeal reality but are temporary forms or appearances. Appearance is empty; in other words, substance is nothing and nothing is substance. When we abandon the illusion of a corporeal self and recognize that we are a part of the whole, we will receive the privilege of becoming God’s children. Anybody who realizes that he is a part of the whole can call God Father and say, The Father and I are one, just as Jesus did.

If Jesus was enlightened with the truth, why should he be bothered by the Sabbath? What did he mean by My Father continues to work and I must work too? When Jesus called God Father, the Jewish people thought he was speaking about Yahweh God, in which they believed, so they persecuted him. Christians believed that Jesus was the Son of God because he called him Father.

    5. I RELY ON TESTIMONY HIGHER THAN JOHN’S

You have sent to John and he has testified to the truth. Not that I accept human testimony; but I mention it that you may be saved. John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light. I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me. And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. (John 5:33-38)

He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie (John 1:27). He must become greater; I must become less (John 3:30). John’s testimonial is not Jesus’s true teachings, nor the testimony of God, but rather a human testimony. When the people heard John preaching, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near (Matt. 3:2), they thought that he was the Messiah.

The Bible expresses the idea that when we see the light, we can be very happy. Jesus’s saying, I rely on testimony higher than John’s, is a true saying. Jesus’s mission was to carry out God’s orders, on the evidence that the Father sent him. That the Father testified for Jesus means that Jesus understood the truth and the Father, not that he was born of Yahweh God.

Jesus said to the Jewish people who believed in Yahweh God, You have never seen or heard the Father, meaning that Yahweh God is not the same as the Father or the true Word of God. If he were the true God, he would be equal to the Father’s voice, for to hear the voice is to see the Father.

The Jewish people believed in the commandment and judgment of Yahweh God, but this is not the true Word of the Father, which holds no judgment or discipline. Clearly, Yahweh God is not the Father.

    6. YOU LOCK THE DOOR IN PEOPLE’S FACES

Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matt. 5:19-20)

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. (Matt. 23:13)

If we follow the Ten Commandments of heaven and teach them to the people, we are rewarded. That is not the same as obeying Yahweh God and keeping the Ten Commandments that he gave to the Jewish people. Heaven’s commandments are the true Word.

If the people, like the Pharisees and the legal scholars, believed in the Law and the book of prophecy, which are not the truth, they could not enter the kingdom; if they believe the truth, why can they not go to heaven by living that way? The teachers and the Pharisees who taught the people to believe Yahweh God and told them, You cannot enter the gate to heaven, were not teaching the truth.

Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without knowing it (Luke 11:44). Their teachings led to the grave, but since it was unmarked, it was walked over. Clearly, their teachings did not give life. You build tombs for the prophets (Luke 11:47). People do not know the real meaning of this teaching; they think it is God’s Word and trust and follow it as if it leads to salvation.

The Old Testament, the Torah, and the book of prophecy are neither Jesus’s teaching nor the Word. Though Yahweh God does not represent the truth, Christians continue to believe in him and think that they have found in him truth, salvation, and eternal life. The true God is the whole; we are part of God, as the rest of creation. That is why Jesus says, The kingdom of God is within you.

Believing the true Word and becoming enlightened is the way to attain the kingdom and eternal life. In Buddhism, everything has the nature of the Buddha, and with the nature of the Buddha, you attain Buddhahood and nirvana.² That is salvation.

The kingdom of God is not the heaven where you go to be judged after you die. Jesus said, He is not the God of the dead but of the living (Matt. 22:32), and Some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom (Matt. 16:28).

    7. THE OLD TESTAMENT IS NOT THE TRUE WORD

Nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. (John 5:38-40)

To the Jewish people who called Yahweh God Father, Jesus said, You don’t know him because you don’t have the Father’s Word in you. The Jewish people who believed in Yahweh God did not know the true Word.

You think the Bible has eternal life but the Bible is only my testimony. This quotation tells us that if you do not know the truth, you cannot get eternal life. In the Bible, it is written that Jesus was born with a mission; in the Old Testament, there is a testimony about Jesus, but not the true Word from which you can get eternal life.

Jesus said, You don’t come to me to get eternal life. Still, Christians tried to find the root of the truth in the Old Testament. They couldn’t comprehend Jesus’s teachings, which are life and the true Word.

By believing the true Word, not by believing in Yahweh God, you can enter the kingdom of God and have eternal life. The Father of Jesus
