About this ebook
David L. Marsden
I was born in Dayton, Ohio. I grew up in a family of seven children. Our family went to church every Sunday. After High School, I lived in Fort Wayne Indiana. During my time in Indiana, I learned how to play guitar and write my own songs. I performed for a number of places in Indiana. After some years in Indiana, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where some of my family members lived. While there, I worked for the state in the state mental health center. I helped the mentally handicap attempt to be more functional. It was in Nevada that some songs I wrote were recorded and published. Carl Jung, a doctor who lived during the time of Freud, Once said that in this life a person has to live with one foot in reality and the other in non-reality. Following that belief; I wrote two books that mixed reality and fantasy together to get my points across in a more interesting way. Upon my return from Nevada; I went to college and earned an associate in applied science directed towards the medical field. I also attended Marian University where I earned an associate in business. During my time at Marian University; I learned theology, philosophy, and other interesting classes. I worked as a nurse aid for a number of years. At present I work as a Certified Medication Technician. I have been on the front lines of Covid since the Pandemic began. I believe the most important thing in this world is human life. If anything, I write can help even one person, then it was worth writing it!

When I reached Hell, I knocked on the gate.
The Devil answered, Who summons me?
I have taken my own life and I belong in Hell.
The boy replied.
After a period of a couple of minutes, the Devil Replied,
Go away, you are not a sinner, you are a victim.
J ohn Doe is at home in his bed room lying on his bed. John wanders how his life turned out like it did. He was a good kid. He believed in God and never doubted his faith. At one time he was very happy and content with his life. He wanders why it was him that the holy man invited to the house by the church where the holy man lived. Things happened to him while in that house. For a while he was able to block the visits to the holy man out of his mind. As time went on John’s life grew darker and darker. He lost his faith and his trust in anyone or anything. John’s thinking was fuzzy while he was lying in bed. How he wished he could go back to change things. John knows that he cannot go back…he fills the syringe with a lethal dose of heroin, shoots it up and dies. Before he dies, these words return to him over and over. I can’t go back… I can’t go back.
Three days later before the viewing of his body, He rises up out of his coffin and walks out of the funeral home!

The Other Side of Heaven
O nly in the early morning light, and only in the rays of that light, can Backtropolis be briefly seen or felt by a human being. Backtropolis is in us and all around us, but cannot be detected by any of the human senses for more than a brief moment. Unlike Earth, Backtropolis is not subject to the constant battle fought on earth. Earth exists between what some humans call Heaven and Hell. Therefore, Earth is always fighting between good and evil. Backtropolis exists on the other side of heaven.
The beings that dwell in the land of Backtropolis are of divine nature. They have never experienced death. The beings in Backtropolis have always existed and will never die, or grow old. In Backtropolis, there exist a boy named Blue. He resembled a boy who would pass for just another small child on Earth. He had dark Black hair and deep blue eyes. The light coming from Blue’s body is what made the skies on Earth blue. Blue was thin and stood about five feet tall. He loved living in Backtropolis and knew that he had an important job given to him by the Boss. Blue has a best friend whose name is Cloud. The clouds on Earth were brought about by the light that came from Cloud’s body. Cloud was a very happy child. He had pure white hair and his eyes were pure white, with just a little blue in them.
Backtropolis is a land of many cities. However, these cities never experience crime, addictions, or any other dark problems that are seen frequently on Earth. The landscape of Backtropolis was beautiful. It has mountains that extend throughout the land. It also has deep blue oceans and streams so pure that a person could drink from them. You see, everything in the land was pure and untouched. Backtropolis had never experienced any of the Dark Ones evil knights. Every day in Backtropolis was a day without pain, misery, or any other dark influence. Happiness was the main emotion in Backtropolis.
Blue and his friend Cloud lived on top of a mountain and drank from the mountain streams every day. They had no need for houses because they lived in harmony with the elements. They lived outside during the winter months, and during the summer months. Food was plentiful and was grown in large fields. Blue and Cloud lived with other beings in the land of Backtropolis. Many angels from the Land of the Good visited the land of Backtropolis. One night a week all of the beings from the land would meet on top of a mountain and listen to stories. The elder of each city and mountain village would tell tales of older days and of other worlds that existed. The elders told many good tales. Some were tales of dark places that still existed. The elders told a particular tale
