About this ebook

Get the Summary of Robert T. Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant in 20 minutes. Please note: This is a summary & not the original book. Original book introduction: CASHFLOW Quadrant was written for those who are ready to move beyond job security and enter the world of financial freedom. It’s for those who want to make significant changes in their lives and take control of their financial future.

Robert believes that the reason most people struggle financially is because they've been spent years in school but were never been taught about money. Robert’s rich dad taught him that this lack of financial education is why so many people work so hard all their lives for money… instead of learning how to make money work for them.

#1

The author and his wife were homeless for two weeks in 1985. They kept their situation secret, and although they both had good job skills, they did not go for job security. They went for financial freedom.

#2

It does not take money to make money. To get from homeless in 1985 to rich in 1989 and then to become financially free by 1994 did not take money. We had no money when we started, and we were in debt.

#3

The CASHFLOW Quadrant represents the different methods by which income or money is generated. To generate income from different quadrants, you must possess different skills and a different personality.

#4

Regardless of what we do for a living, we can work in all four quadrants. A doctor could decide to work as an E, an employee, and work for the government in the public-health service, or become a military doctor, or join the staff of an insurance company needing a doctor on its staff. This same doctor could also decide to work as an S, a self-employed person, and start a private practice.

#5

The four-quadrant system helps you determine which business you should be in. Each quadrant represents a different business model, with its own unique pros and cons. You must decide which one best suits your personality and your goals.

#6

Working to generate income in the B and I quadrants allows you to benefit from legal tax breaks that are scarce on the left side of the Quadrant.

#7

When people ask why Kim and I were homeless, I tell them it was because of what my rich dad taught me about money. For me, money is important, yet I did not want to spend my life working for it. That is why I did not want a job. If we were going to be responsible citizens, Kim and I wanted to have our money work for us rather than spend our lives physically working for money.

#8

The author's rich dad taught him about the different financial and professional advantages of each quadrant. For him, the B and I quadrants offered the best opportunity for financial success and financial freedom.

#9

The author had two successful fathers who both provided him with lessons about business and life. One father was always busy with work while the other was always available to spend time with his family.

#10

The author's father was a government employee
