Journey Home
Amara was cleaning the counter, about to open the store for business when Luiza walked in. The ginger had always been the kind of girl that took chances and it always made Amara wonder what her life would look like without her. There would be a lot less adventure, of that she was sure. So when she saw her best friend and partner grinning from ear to ear, Amara knew something was up.
The two had been together for years now, even shared an apartment, the place Amara had made into a home and Luiza had made into her headquarters for planning adventures, which amused Amara. Luiza’s constant travels fit perfectly with Amara’s need for quiet time, even if she’d start worrying whenever Luiza didn’t send any news for more than a couple of days. Their relationship was purely platonic, both girls being aromantic and perfectly content with their queerplatonic arrangement: Amara had her privacy and Luiza was free to chase the world.
As Amara watched Luiza make her way to the counter, a small smile crept up in her mouth as she anticipated what her partner’s next adventure would be.
I’d ask you to guess, but I can’t wait, so here it goes!
Luiza said as soon as she got closer. I found it! I finally found the missing Fortress of Laura!
And where is it?
Amara asked, indulging in her friend’s excitement, watching as Luiza pulled star maps and dimensional charts from her purple bag.
"So, you know how dragons can fly between planets easily, right? Their magic protects them from the void of space
