CHAPTER 1
F ire engulfs the plains of the earth. It burns high, lighting up the night. In the middle of the flames, there is a figure who looks to be great and powerful. A shadow in the form of a man. Pitch-black in the middle of the flames. Identity concealed. He stands over a man lying face-first on the ground at his feet.
The man looks like a fallen warrior. He looks like he has been in a battle against the world. He has long black hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. His name is Henry. The figure leans down and grabs him by the hair, lifting his head up. He’s helpless.
Anger is etched on his face. The figure grabs him by the throat with his other hand and lifts him up off the ground up into the air. Henry looks down into the figure’s face. The figure has no eyes at all. It lets out a horrific scream that would kill any normal man.
The scream then becomes Henry’s as he begins to struggle and fight in a bed that lay’s inside of a little shack in the Virginia woods. The time is night, and the year is 1865. The fire and the figure are gone. It was only a dream. A nightmare if you will.
There is a woman trying to calm Henry down. Her name is Anna. Anna Henry. Wake up! Wake up, Henry! Wake up!
It’s ok! It’s ok! Henry! Henry sits up in a panic. Eyes wide open, breathing heavily, and covered in cold sweat.
Anna begins to run her hand through his hair. Shhh it’s ok, it was only a dream. Henry turns his head to look at his wife. He first looks deep into her beautiful brown eyes, then at her curly black hair.
He then runs his hand across her magnificent, brown-skinned face. He picks her up and sits her in his lap. He holds her close as she runs her hands through his hair. Henry looks up as he hears gurgling sounds. He looks in front of him to see a baby boy standing in a crib looking at him and Anna.
It’s their son Aryus. Anna turns and looks at their little baby boy standing in his crib looking at his mother and father. Henry and Anna both smile at their son. Meanwhile somewhere off in the mountains of Virginia something is happening. There is a gathering in a deep canyon. There is a sea of people. They all appear to be white. Men, women, and children are all gathered together.
It looks like a cult gathering. The canyon is lit with torches all around. Also, by three burning crosses in front of the sea of people. The crosses sit on a rising inside of the canyon. On the rising there are people robed in white looking like ghosts in the night.
They’re looking down on the mass of people. Standing above them like gods of some kind. They are KKK members and so is everyone else who’s gathered in this place. A hooded figure then slowly makes his way to the edge of the rising. He stops.
Everything is so quiet. The only thing you can hear is the sound of the flames crackling in the night. The hooded figure with white gloved hands stretch out their arms to the side. Two robed men
