I want to thank the following people who made it possible for me to publish Clothed for the King. My husband Marius Joubert, my dad Johan Moll. My friends in Christ, Nola Turner, Ruth Zanetti, and Samantha McCormack.

May the Lord bless you! May He keep you and make His face shine on you, and be gracious onto you. May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. May His plans be established and fulfilled in your life.

    Inspiration for the

    Book Title and Cover Image

I received different feedback from people who read the book before I’ve published it on the book title and cover image. That is why I would like to give you the reason I had selected the title Clothed for the King. Some people loved it, and others did not understand it.

When the Holy Spirit prompted me to write my first Christian book, I asked God what the title should be. Then I took a quiet moment to wait on the Lord for the answer. The title Clothed for the King came into my mind. Because I am called to help God’s children improve their appearance, this title made perfectly sense to me. It also complements my first two books that I’ve published which is about outer appearance, health, and building one’s confidence.

When I finished writing Clothed for the King, confirmation came through the Holy Spirit, Scripture and sermons that to be clothed with something is a term used regularly in the Bible. Here are some scriptures:

To be clothed with righteousness (Job 29:14, Psalm 132:9 – KJV).

The Lord has clothed me with garments of salvation (Isaiah 61:10 – KJV).

When Joshua was standing before the Angel of the Lord, God said to take away his filthy garments from him, and that He had removed his iniquity from him, and will clothe him with rich robes (Zechariah 3:4 – NKJV).

David praised God for turning his mourning into dancing, taking off his sackcloth, and having clothed him with a garment of joy (Psalm 30:11 – ISV).

When Jesus is going to return to earth, the book of Revelation describes that He will be clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God (Revelation 19:13 – NKJV).

All of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility (1 Peter 5:5 – NKJV).

Clothe yourself in honor and majesty (Job 40:10 – NIV).

Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked (2 Corinthians 5:2-3 – NIV).

We do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed (2 Corinthians 5:4 – NIV).

Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus, and do not obey your flesh and its desires (Romans 13:14 – ISV).

All of you who were baptised into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah (Galatians 3:27 – ISV).

To the disciples, Jesus said to stay in the city until they are clothed with the power from on high (Luke 24:49 – ISV).

The image on the front cover of the book has a symbolic meaning. As you will read through the book, you’ll discover what it means to be clothed for the King. The king that I refer to is Jesus Christ, who will return as the King of kings. At the time of His return, He will be sitting on a white horse, clothed in a red coloured robe. Together with His armies of heaven, and His saints, He will wage war against everyone that is evil. The sword in His hand symbolises Him waging war.

We must desire to be clothed and ready for our Lord Jesus when He returns, and to be one of His saints, who will be rewarded with eternal life. The purpose of this book is to encourage you to be clothed and ready for that time. The image on the cover portrays Jesus at the time of His return, in all His glory, taking over the rulership of the earth.

    Foreword and My Testimony

As a believer, I know that God has ordered my steps to where I am today. After completing secondary education in South Africa, I was accepted at the University of Pretoria (TUKS), South Africa. I found myself amongst a group of students who were undecided about which course they wanted to study. A university representative suggested that I visit a certain college to see if I could find something there to interest me. My cousin, who was enrolled in a business course, had been telling me about a beauty technology course at the same college, and suggested I come to check it out. Thinking that this may be a sign, I went there to make inquiries and found the course had already started two weeks previously.

The college representative offered to phone the head of the department to see if she would have time to meet me, and if it would be possible that I could still enrol in the course. This was a Friday afternoon and I was able to meet with the head of the Beauty Technology Department. She gave me a quick run-through on what the course entailed, and it sounded like something that I would enjoy. She asked me if I could start the following Monday. I mentioned that I had to talk to my parents first, so she gave me all the relevant paperwork to take home and to complete should I decide to join the course. After a weekend of discussion with my parents, I decided to enrol in the beauty technology course. Early on the next Monday morning, I saw the head of the department again and was allowed to start that same day. The class was busy with a practical lesson when I was introduced and some ladies were puzzled as to why I started so late and thought that I must have been on holiday until then. When I said that I had seen the head of the department on Friday, and only decided over the weekend that I would enrol, they were shocked that I had been accepted on the spot. That was the first time I’d heard that there was a strict selection process to get into the course. Some had to wait two years before they were accepted. Although I did not understand it at the time, the Lord revealed to me years later that He had opened this door for me to study beauty technology.

During my third year, I also enrolled part-time in an International Modelling Academy. At the completion of the beauty technology course and the modelling course, and after three years of praying and asking the Lord to send me a good husband, He miraculously brought my husband into my life. The same cousin, who told me about the beauty technology course, in the beginning, phoned me one day. She said she entered a competition in my name to go on a three week holiday to Namibia,
