Hi there, my name is Anthony Mc Laughlin. I am a proud Jamaican who is presently living in the United States of America. During my time interacting with visitors back home and with anyone here, I have noticed that many people enjoy hearing the way us Jamaicans speak simply because of the uniqueness of our accent and many also seems to be interested in learning it. It is a known fact that at times when a Jamaican speaks, he or she can hardly be understood due to word usage and pronunciation. For all the reasons I thought it would be beneficial to put together a booklet with accompanying audio format that can be used to assist non-natives with learning our dialect. This package is designed to assist with learning to speak our dialect and is guaranteed to help you feel more comfortable in the presence of any Jamaican. It will also prove to be a valuable tool for your future trips to the beautiful island!

Introduction
Hi there, my name is Anthony Mc Laughlin. I am a proud Jamaican who is presently living in the United States of America. During my time interacting with visitors back home and with anyone here, I have noticed that many people enjoy hearing the way us Jamaicans speak simply because of the uniqueness of our accent, and many seem interested in learning it. It is evident to us Jamaicans, that when we speak in our dialect, we are not well understood due to our word usage and pronounciation. For all these reasons I thought it would be beneficial to put together a booklet with accompanying audio format that can be used to assist non-natives with learning our dialect. This package is designed to assist with learning to speak our dialect and is guaranteed to help you feel more comfortable in the presence of any Jamaican. It will also prove to be a valuable tool for your future trips to the beautiful island!
I have put together a combination of words, phrases, questions and answers that are apart of daily conversation and well as questions most frequently asked by visitors.
Responses have been evaluated in positive (Res), negative (Neg) and opposite (Opp) ways for the benefit of the user.
Dialogues included are based on categories such as, dining, entertainment, shopping, everyday business and much more! The package includes the history of Jamaica with supporting sounds to aid with visualization of the situation being described. You will find in your booklet, English translations on the left of each page and dialect on the right. To get the most from this package, I recommend listening to the audio while following along in the booklet. I am hoping that you will find this package helpful and enjoy the journey to being transformed to a Jamaican! Pretty soon, you and I might be able to have amazing conversations with each other. Until we meet, enjoy…
Respect man!!!
