Building the Ship

About this ebook
It is essential to grow as believers in Christ. We have to become mature men and women of God. Paul said "when I was a child I acted like a child, I spoke as child and I did childish things. But when I became a man I put away child like things." (1 Cor. 13: 11)
John the Baptist and our Messiah both grew in statue and favor with God and man. It is imperative that we understand simply becoming a follower of Jesus is not enough. We must grow up into sons, daughters, stewards and teachers of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have to go from the standpoint of being taught to being teachers. We are co-laborers with the Lord and one another. The bible says that we are to go from faith to faith and from glory to glory We ought to go from strength to strength to confidence in God. So let us take this journey together shall we. It's time to grown in God so that we can grow more in the image and likeness of God.

Building A Relationship With Jesus
Jesus will not enter into a relationship with anyone who is unwilling to enter into a relationship with Him. The disciple’s willingly received Jesus into their ship as they did willingly receive Jesus into their lives. They each willingly began to follow Jesus and entered into a relationship with Him.
John 6:15-21 (KJV) says, When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea, And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
Zaccheus Received Him Willingly
Luke 19:1-10
There’s another gentleman by the name of Zaccheus who willingly received Jesus Christ into his ship. The bible says that Zaccheus heard that Jesus was going to pass nearby. And so Zaccheus took advantage of the opportunity to see Jesus. Well when he arrived at the seen he found that he wasn’t the only person interested in seeing Jesus that day. The crowed was atrocious. I could imagine the excitement Jesus fame had spread throughout the area quit rapidly. So Zaccheus finds himself at a disadvantage his handy cap was he was short in statue. So he climbed up into a sycamore tree. What is so amazing to me is how Jesus makes His way to Zaccheus out of all the people in attendance. The bible says when Jesus arrives at the very place that Zacheus chose; He looked up and said these words to Zaccheus.
Make hast and come down; for today I must abide at thy house. And the bible says without hesitation Zaccheus hurries down and receives Jesus joyfully and lest not forget willingly. With a repentant heart Zaccheus looks into the eyes of the Master and says. Behold Lord the half of my goods I give to the poor; if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation and I restore to him fourfold. And I’m sure Jesus with a proud look in his eyes as to say. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. This day salvation has come to your house. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save the lost. Glory to God and my friend this is building the ship.
True relationships are built on sincere repentance and the truth that makes one free. Willing and obedience
ilse-orsel-H8t039oZe2U-unsplash.jpgTHE SHIP WAS GODS IDEA
It was Gods idea to build the ship. It was His desire, His wish, His want, it was His dream, and it was His vision to build the ship.
Man has a habit of taking credit for things that they had nothing to do with. Though the ship is a physical presence it has always been a spiritual thing with God. When God said let us make man in our image and in our likeness, He was saying to the God head body let us build a ship. Let us build a relationship with humanity. The concept and the purpose of the ship was that the ship would be a carrier; it would move and constantly be mobile, a carrier of precious cargo and commodities. The ship would be used to haul many things’ that had not even been discovered nor invented by the human hand. The ship that God was building would carry such things as hope, love, joy, peace; it would be a carrier of the gospel, a carrier of the good news of God the creator and redeemer of mankind. It would be a carrier of healing throughout the nations; it would be a carrier of deliverance, such deliverance that would make us free indeed. It would be a carrier of such an amazing peace unlike anything the world could ever imagine because it wouldn’t be the kind of peace that the world could offer or have ever experienced. It would be a carrier of an unspeakable joy. Joy that would be breath taking and words could not explain nor articulate. It would be a ship that would carry cargo that men thought they would only dream of but was impossible to ever posses. Gods ship would carry commodities that mans ship would be unable to and not equip to carry. The first ship wasn’t built when man built his first boat, no he was able to build his ship because of the ship God had already built with him.
ilse-orsel-H8t039oZe2U-unsplash.jpgTHE ARK WAS GODS IDEA
It wasn’t Noah’s idea to build the ark, it was Gods. Noah didn’t know what and ark was or why it would be needed. God told Noah to build the ark, God told Noah why he was to build the ark and God told Noah how to build the ark. You can find what I am saying to be true recorded in the book of Genesis 6: 5, 9, 13-16
God used His relationship with Noah to strengthen and continue His relationship with humanity. He would make a new covenant with man and use the rain bow as His token and sign of His forever covenant with man.
Genesis 9:1-17
In Genesis 9:15-19 God gives Noah and his family permission to leave the ark so they can begin to walk in the newness of life, Romans 6:4.
Noah and his family enter the ark to end the old covenant and the old life and their departure of the ark begins the new covenant and the new life.
Just as it is in baptism we go into the water representing the dieing and the burial of the old man, coming up out of the water representing being resurrected in the new man to walk in the newness of life. And so it was with the flood. They entered into the ark the flood buried everything pertaining to the old man and the old life. As they exit the ark they are coming up out of the water. Notice the water has subsided and they are not just departing the ark. Upon leaving the ark they are also leaving the water. When they leave the ark and depart the water they are leaving everything that pertains to the old and the sins that so easily beset them in the ark to be fore ever buried in the sea of forgetfulness.
Notice now there have been so called sightings of the ark but let me share something with you. They will never be allowed to surface the ark because to do so would cause God to have to remember their sins which He promised would be remembered no more.
And so it is with the Garden of Eden mankind will never discover its location because of what God has promised concerning our sins. God says our sins and our iniquities have been far removed from us and then He says it’s for His sake that He has done so. What a loving God we have as our Father and creator. What a Comforter He really is to all of those who fear Him.
If you happen to be concerned about how God feels about your pass take a look at these scriptures which He has put in place to secure the ship. To assure that there would be no leaks in the ship and to assure the stability of the ship. These scripture weather proof the ship. No matter the storm the ship will survive. When the winds and waves beat vehemently upon the ship it will not fall apart and crumble.
Here are the scriptures. Micah 7:19, Isaiah 38:17, Isaiah 43:25, Isaiah 44:22,
Jeremiah 50:20, Jeremiah 31:34, Psalm 103: 10-12
ilse-orsel-H8t039oZe2U-unsplash.jpgTHE WIND AND THE BREATH OF GOD MOVES THE SHIP
God began building the ship when He formed man from the dust of the ground and the ship began to seal when God blew the breath of life into the nostrils or if you would the seals of the man. Remember there was no horse powered or battery powered engines back then man depended on the wind and the breath of God to move his ship. And it is that same wind and breathes of God that is moving the ship to day. It is the breath of God that drives and enables Gods ship to move and stay afloat today. Take away the wind or the breath of God and the ship will sink.
Our relationship with the Lord has nothing to do with anything that is powered by man. Man figured because he has discovered the ore he no longer needed God’s wind or God’s breath any more to move his ship. But they would soon find out that the ore was only as strong or as powerful as the man hands that held it. The man discovered that he could only move his ship along so far without the wind and the breath of God. So they learned that when the wind was up and God was blowing on the earth, they needed to lift their seals so that they could take advantage of the wind and the breath of God as He would provide it.
ilse-orsel-H8t039oZe2U-unsplash.jpgTHE SHIP IS NO GOOD WITHOUT WATER
Genesis 6:7-22 7:1-24, 8:1-22, 9:1-29
Proverbs 30:19 says, The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
Not only did God instruct Noah on building the ark or the ship but He gave him the water that he would need as well. Forty days and forty nights of continued rain so much that the rain caused a great flood which would cause the ark or the ship to began to move.
A ship is no good without water, it is not a land vehicle, it was designed to float and not roll. A ship is to be moved by the current of the water. The ship represents the man and the water represents the Holy Spirit of God. My relationship is no good without the water of God in my life. The Holy Spirit is what moves the believer, the Holy Spirit is what guides the believer, the Holy Spirit is what empowers the believers, the Holy Spirit teaches the believers. The Holy Spirit fills the ship with its precious cargo the fruit that of the Spirit. During creation the bible say that the water brought forth sea animals and sea creatures. The water embodies a lot of what the ship needs. Without the water the ship is useless and good for nothing. God has always used the water to move His ship.
When Mary spoke to Elizabeth it was the water that caused the two ships to move.
The woman at the well it was the water that cause her to move. Not the water from the well but the living water that Jesus told her about.
In the book of Acts it was the water that caused the miracles signs and wonders to happen to be performed in the earth. It is because the disciple was filled with the water of a Holy God. It’s because they were submerged in the water of God. It’s because God was pouring out His water upon all flesh. It was the water that moved the ship. The crowd confirmed that it was the wonderful work of God, they said it was the water that caused everything that had taken place and not anything that man had done.
It was the water that causes the disciple to sound strange and peculiar. Have you ever tried to talk with water in your mouth? Have you ever heard any one talk with water in their mouth?
Water changes things, it will even change your behavior, it will change the way you think, and the water
