About this ebook

In the southernmost part of the world, Antarctica, the days are almost always the same. A colony of penguins lives a peaceful and simple life and everything would be fine, if it weren't for those strange dreams about the distant Galapagos creeping into the children's heads.
Penguin Bobby is lively and loves to skate, sled and race to the nearest iceberg with his friends. But his biggest dream is to one day sail to the Galapagos Islands on the equator himself.
Every day at the same time, the friends from the iceberg watch the container ships slowly heading north. But the dream becomes tangible and real when the blue whales swim along their coastline all the way to Alaska. When he heard they were passing the Galapagos Islands, Bobby decided at the same time to go with them.
Unlike him, his friends Tulok, Nuka and Jacco are not so brave and cannot believe that Bobby will dare to leave. But before they could say anything, he was already in the middle of the blue ocean, sailing north.
After many days, the penguin finally arrives at the place he dreamed of, and everything seems even better and more beautiful than on the numerous posters and postcards that adorn the walls of his igloo.
But paradise on earth soon becomes a place of sadness and loneliness for him, because everything would be so beautiful if only his loved ones were with him.
How the adventure of Bobby the penguin turns out, you can read in this story: Galapagos is far away.

"H uiii !" exclaimed Bobby delightedly as he descended into the sea. Snuggled in his soft, warm fluff, he slid across the clear ice at breakneck speed, holding on to his feet. The path wound from the top of the hill to its base, where it ended in the dark blue waves of the ocean.

Behind him is a whole column of penguins, and black heads stick out curiously, waiting for their turn. One by one they slide down the winding ice slide, and the joy is written all over their faces.

JACCO! NUKA! WHERE have you guys been until now? What's taking you so long?, Bobby tries to urge his friends.

Finally, they slipped into the glittering, cold waves and it took a few seconds for their heads to stick out of the water. They were about to ask where Tulok was when he too fell headlong between them.

You always have to be last! said Bobby to him.

And you always have to be first! he retorted as long golden hair framed his eyes.

Bobby said nothing to him, but thought, What's so bad about being first? Doesn't everyone want to be first and best at everything?

Let us compete! Whoever gets to the iceberg last must catch a fish for the others! shouted Jacco, and immediately he dived into the sea and swam toward the iceberg. His body cut through the water like a projectile, leaving white bubbles that floated to the surface.

The two could hardly wait for this proposal, so they dove right behind it. Only Tulok,
