About this ebook
It will appeal to lots of children, but especially kids who are interested in ballet and dance, singing, acting, ice skating, or any kind of performing arts.
As well as to parents who might want to introduce their child to the cultural and traditional performing arts.
These ballet stories are lovely, magical bedtime, or anytime stories for kids, especially if they are interested in ballet, dance, theater and performance, and if they might like to go and see a live ballet.
Because ballets have no words, and only use dance music and mime to convey what's happening, without knowing the story beforehand, anyone can become completely lost.
So your child will already know the plot of these very famous world famous ballets from these short stories, if they ever watch one online or go to see one of them live (and so will you if you like).
Every ballet performance is a different artistic interpretation. We have based these children's stories on the basic and agreed-upon general plots of all these five ballets.
Lots of ballets contain tragedy or violence, negative role-modeling, and themes and subjects not suitable for children.
So the ballets in these children's short stories are chosen as some of the best ones for children, that they are most likely to love and enjoy.
A unique storybook that they will love and that will give them a long term educational life gift as well as entertain. Treat your child to these magical, world famous, classical ballet stories.
You can download this ebook, or any of the individual ebook stories, or buy the paperback book version for a gift, which is available for sale worldwide, at all good bookstores and online marketplaces, and should be alongside our other books.

Ballet Stories For Kids - Melanie Voland
Swan Lake
Once upon a time, there was a handsome prince called Prince Siegfried, and today was his twenty-first birthday. He was having a lavish birthday party with all his friends and royal family, who were gathered together at the castle for the special occasion.
There was lots of dancing and singing and feasting and entertainment, and the prince was given lots of wonderful birthday gifts. As Prince Siegfried liked to go hunting birds in the woods with his friends, his mother gave him a beautiful well made bow and arrow, crossbow.
Then she said to him, My son, as you are now a grown man, it is important that you choose a wife. So I am going to invite some beautiful princesses to the castle soon, and I want you to meet them, and see if there are any whom you might choose to marry.
Mother, I am not ready to get married. I like to enjoy my life and go hunting in the woods with my friends.
said the prince.
Well my son, it is very important that you marry as soon as possible, because you are the heir to the throne. You have a very special and fortunate position in your life, and you must act in accordance with your royal duty,
she insisted.
I understand, mother,
said Prince Siegfried, I promise that will meet the princesses and try to find one I like.
Then he gathered together his hunting friends and they ran off into the woods.
Deep in the woods, Siegfried had got ahead of his friends, and had reached a peaceful clearing alone, next to an enchanting lake. Through the trees, he could see a flock of beautiful swans floating gracefully on the water.
Although in many ways he was a good person, in the time and place where Prince Siegfried lived, most people didn't think it was wrong to hunt and kill any birds and animals they liked, even swans, just for fun, and the prince didn't know any different.
So the prince lifted up his crossbow and pointed it at the swans, ready to shoot. Then he noticed that one of the swans was wearing a golden crown on its head! Prince Siegfried was stunned and full of wonder and curiosity.
As he slowly lowered his crossbow, the swan wearing the crown saw him, and realized that he was ready to shoot her. She was afraid, and flew fast away. The other swans were startled too, and flew away with her. Wait!
called the prince I'm sorry. Please let me speak to you!
But they had gone.
Prince Siegfried's hunting friends caught up with him, Siegfried, there you are! We thought we had lost you!
But he didn't tell them what he had seen. It was so strange,
