Day 1
PROCESSED FOR VICTORY
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV)
As Christians, our direction should always be forward in life. All the Lord has for you is ahead of you. In 1 Corinthians 4:13-16, the Apostle Paul says, I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however, I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus. So let all who are fully mature have this same passion. Notice, he said he forgets the past and is reaching for the heavenly goal and gaining the victory prize; and to have this, we must have passion. Passion means any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate . I know many times we talk about not being controlled by our emotions, but there is a place in God that your emotions can actually propel you in the direction that the Lord has for your life…and that’s when His passions take control of those emotions.
We are advancing to Victory! Victory means: a success or triumph over an enemy in battle or war. You don’t obtain victory in your life without an enemy. Your reaction to an enemy will determine whether you experience victory. Many times in life, when we hit a rough spot, the tendency is to run. But we are not running; we are going to deal with it and get past it. It’s all a part of our maturity process. Muscles are built and developed through resistance. The Lord allows things to come into our lives, not to destroy us, but to develop us and mature us into who He has called us to be. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 says, Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. We continually share in the death of Jesus in our own bodies so that the resurrection life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity. It’s amazing that in the fire of afflictions, Paul was able to see the divine purpose. Pressure on the outside released something greater on the inside.
Sometimes we go through things that seem to make no sense, but you must trust your Father that there is a divine purpose to the madness. A person who is not willing to go through the process of God will never experience true victory. In the process is our development. You cannot mature into the person God has called you to be outside of His process. It’s like being a fish out of water; you have a lot of motion but no progress.
You are a mighty man and woman of God. Sometimes the Lord sees greatness in us that we don’t see in ourselves. Your weakness and struggle cannot cancel out the greatness He has placed on the inside of you. So when enemies rise up, when anything tries to stop you from going forward…when you’re facing a wrong mindset…whatever it is, it’s time to deal with it and get past it so we can experience true victory in Jesus. I declare that even now you are being set free from everything that is trying to stop your progress! So stay in the process, because your process is bringing you into VICTORY!!!!
Day 2
IN IT TO WIN IT
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
As we meditate on the greatness of God, when we think of His majesty, His power, His Glory, it causes our faith in Him to increase. Psalms 143:3 says, Lord, you are great and worthy of the highest praise! For there is no end to the discovery of the greatness that surrounds you. Our response to His greatness is praise and worship. Paul understood this. That’s why he said that if God is for us, then who can be against us? When Paul lined up all the whos
in the world, there was no one that could match the greatness of our God.
There are many things happening in our world, and a lot of uncertainty…but one thing you can be certain of is that Jesus is still on the Throne, that He is for you, and He is with you. See, He is just not with you; He is in you. Look at what 2 Corinthians 6:16 says: I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God and they shall be my people. In this day and time, this is the reality we must walk in constantly: that is that God is in us, and He is for us. The very Presence of Almighty God is in you right now at this moment, as you are reading this devotional. He is not inactive in you; He is working His purpose through your life. Look at Philippians 2:13 (AMP): For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. It’s not your strength or your ability working; it’s His presence in you working to fulfill your purpose. He has created you for His purpose, and He is going to fulfill His purpose through your life.
Maybe you’ve experienced some setbacks in your life, and you’re wondering how in the world you are going to fulfill the purpose of God. I have some good news for you! Romans 8:28 says: And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. God wants you to win so much, He is causing all things to work out for your good. So right now, take the pressure off of yourself, and put your faith in His ability, His power. He is like a Master chess player; He is watching the moves of the adversary and is countering and adjusting the pieces of your life to make it a picture of victory. Anything that comes against your God-given purpose is an enemy, so don’t be alarmed by the things that are going on around you. Be still and know that He is God. Rest in His abiding Presence, because He is not just with you; He is in you, so you can win in this life.
2 Corinthians 2:14 says: Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ. Notice, He said He always causes us to triumph. Not sometimes; all of the time! The Word cause means: to bring about, or to bring forth. He is always going to bring you out; He is always going to cause you to land in a good place. The Lord wants us to place our faith in Him, not in ourselves. He wants us to place our faith in His ability, not ours.
Watch your focus. Be aware of what’s going on in the world, but don’t let it consume you. Let the things of the Lord have your attention, focus and devotion, and you will pass through all of the things happening in this world. Your life will be a witness to the Greatness of our God.
HE IS IN IT SO YOU CAN WIN IT!
Day 3
FEAR NOT
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)
As we look at what is going on in our world, it is apparent we are being challenged in our faith. Are we going to believe what the world is saying, or are we going to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Is the God of the Bible still alive? Can He still work miracles, signs, and wonders? Can He protect His people from sickness and disease?
The bigger story is how the Body of Christ will globally respond to any epidemic. Do we react in fear or do we react in faith; do we join the world, or do we rise up and demonstrate our faith in Jesus Christ? Look at what Matthew 5:14-16 says: Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.
As we look at the actions and orders to isolate, restrict, and condense, it is clear the enemy is trying to get the churches in a position to not shine that Light when the world needs it so much. As a result, the world has no hope. The only Hope is Jesus Christ, and the Church is the carrier of that Hope! Let your light shine. Use wisdom, but do not fear!
The enemy uses the news to get us out of faith into fear, because he knows that faith keeps us in the outcome of God, and fear brings his outcome in our lives. Job 3:25 says, For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. So fear was the vehicle that brought the very thing that Job didn’t want into his life. That’s the enemy’s tactic, and that’s why fear is being perpetuated in our nation.
The only one with the faith to overcome the fear is the Church of Jesus Christ. Stay informed, but don’t spend a lot of time feeding on the news and the information they’re putting out. It is producing fear, which will produce the very thing you don’t want. The Lord wants you to direct your attention to Him, and the solution, which is the Word of God.
Psalm 91 says, He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. It says a thousand may fall at one side, and ten thousand at the other, but it will not come near you. Stay in that secret place, the place of faith, the place of worship, the place of praise. You get out of that place when you begin to dwell on or listen to the things of the world. But you get out of fear and into faith when you begin to dwell on the things of God. Church, we are going to be fine because our God is greater, our God stronger and awesome in Power!
Day 4
DON’T CAP YOURSELF
And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath.
Deuteronomy 28:13 (KJV)
One of the amazing things that Jesus did for you and me is to change our spiritual position back to the position that was given to us in the beginning. Genesis 1:26 says: And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion. Notice, God’s original intent was for man to have dominion. That means creation would be subject to man, not man being subject to creation. The word subject means to be under; dominating control or influence. The Lord wants us to be above the things of this world.
Jesus came to set things back in order when He came to Earth, and through His death, burial, and resurrection, things have been brought back to the
