    SUMMARY

Year after year in the spring, the corn grew ripe and yellow in the fields near Cactus Ridge. Then, they were harvested and carried routinely to the mill.

One year, some corn resented being dictated to and what had been their routine lives. They wanted a change!

Just a little chance at freedom! They became restless and longed for adventure. Follow as some corn ‘went a-wandering where they did not belong.’

    1

    Off They Go!
