    An avalanche in d’ minor is a classification up from a girl being a ten. There are only a few of them. They tend to bury men in romance. It takes a strong and savvy man to deal with one. Otherwise, he will be crushed and ground up in romantic debris. This tale is about a couple, The Girl and The Man, will he survive? He must be clever in the ways of courting a girl such as her.
    Thirteen, sitting on her porch swing, reading a book, a boy bounded up the steps. He plopped down beside her, said, “Last week you promised to let me kiss you today.” She seldom spoke to boys, moved away.
    He persisted, crowded her, "aw come on," urged her again. She nodded, "Not here." he followed her into the house. "There" pointed to a closet, opened the door, the boy rushed in. She closed it, locked it, and went roller skating with her girlfriends.
    She had the counterweight to shyness, courage.
    Buried in Romance, who wants to dig their way out?
    Men state she is an avalanche in d' minor. You be the judge. When young, they gave her a quarter, "Call me when you grow up." She spent her summers in Mexico at a high school chum's Hacienda. Danced under the moonlight with Spanish hombre. Received her first proposal at fifteen. Drove a matador crazy. Fought a training bull.
    After college, she worked in Manhattan. Her desk in the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria representing an international airline. There was not a famous restaurant she had not dined in, several times.
