Adam Procter
Adam R. Procter was born in Kingston Upon Hull, England. From his early years he was always interested, but a little scared by the sea and what as in it. In his twenties, he decided to go backpacking around Australia. A chance encounter swimming with a whale shark would rekindle his awe about life in the oceans. Years later, after finishing his masters degree in marine biology he became a marine scientist, which was mostly spent doing marine surveys around the coastal U.K and looking through microscopes at small marine invertebrates. It was identifying these small miracles of marine nature that would fuel the creation of the unique characters for his first book series. That, and his interest in fossils! Now as an English teacher, he has reflected upon his past and turned his attention yet again to a subject he has had a passion for a very long time - The interaction between animals, humans and the environment. It was here that he decided to become a science based author of children’s fiction. His books are based upon the latest scientific understanding of the animals and environment we share our planet with. His books are aimed at positively communicating educational concepts about the natural world to children, through relatable characters.Adam also believes strongly that he should use some of the profits from his book sales, to give back to chosen charities. With this in mind, he will donate ten percent of the profits from each book sale to those charitable organisations.

Understanding and discourse with those of opposing views will make one infinitely wiser than merely shouting while plugging one’s ears. A walled castle serves a logical purpose. A walled mind does not.
