Chapter 1

Butterflyville

This is Butterflyville. It is a wonderful place for Butterflies to live. There are blue, green, yellow, and orange butterflies. They are all sizes and colors.

In Butterflyville, some butterflies live near beautiful flowers and trees. Others like to live up in the trees where the Butterfly Condos are. The condos are made with large picture windows! You will also see a few bees, ants, ladybugs, dragonflies, and grasshoppers in Butterflyville, too.

Today, the little town is busy and buzzing. This is because every year they have their Annual Butterfly Fashion Show Contest. This is the biggest event of the year. Every butterfly can show off their best fashions. Everyone in Butterflyville is very excited!

But there is someone who is not excited. There is someone who is unhappy.

Her name is Alexandra Butterfly. Alexandra Butterfly lives in Butterflyville. Her little cottage home is near the shops in town.

Every morning, when Alexandra wakes up, she flies out of her big bedroom window. Then she sits on the big yellow sunflower growing near her window and looks around. She speaks to the other insects that pass her house. "Hello! Good Morning!"
