This book is about a young girl that was placed in a caring and supportive foster home. The author wrote this book to help young children like Josie and herself when she was Josie?s age with transitioning into an unfamiliar home. There are challenges some children will face while in the care of their foster parents. This book includes tips for children to help them during those difficult moments.

Hello! My name is Jamillah Smith. I was born and raised in New Jersey. Currently, I live in North Carolina. I have a BA in Special Education, an MA in Supervision and Administration, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for over 17 years. I experienced placement in foster care twice. My first foster home was with a married couple and the second foster home was with a single parent. I wrote this book to help young children with who are struggling with adjusting to their new home, school and friends.
