Hello! My name is Jamillah Smith. I was born and raised in New Jersey. Currently, I live in North Carolina. I have a BA in Special Education, an MA in Supervision and Administration, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for over 17 years. I experienced placement in foster care twice. My first foster home was with a married couple and the second foster home was with a single parent. I wrote this book to help young children with who are struggling with adjusting to their new home, school and friends.
