Longing for the Snow - POETRY - Erik Van Achter
For all the people who work in the John Hay Library and in the Brown University Bookstore. Your workplace was my place of inspiration.
For all the people who work at the Portuguese Department. Working with you was a privilege.

Foreword.
Longing for the Snow is a poetic rendering of my stay at Brown University in the winter and fall of the year 2018. I had been there before, various times, as part of a chopped up postdoctoral stay at the Portuguese Department. Each time with a different Grant, each time in different house and each time in a different mood.
2018 was different in that I kept a poetic

Longing for the Snow is so to speak also a therapeutic journey beyond the nausea, the gradual lack of equilibrium and problems with sound perception.
Therapeutic too is one poem about a collegiate wrestler
