Acknowledgement
Iwould like to thank God for watching over me for the past 61 years of my life, and has brought me to the point in my life so that I can share some of the blessings that he has blessed my family and I with. Especially those who have paved the way for me to have this opportunity. Secondly, I would also like to pay homage to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I would like to thank the citizens of the United States of America who inspire me daily to express my thoughts and ideas in the form of poetry. The passion, humor, and the appreciation for my own personal journey with my wife mother, father, sisters, and brother’s, sons, and daughters, along with other family members.
America is Broken is the second book in this series (Time 2 MANning Up), and is inspired by the first book and all the people who made an impact on my life growing up and has been noted in the 1st book. Enjoy the poems, examine your emotions, and I hope you find it in your heart to have those difficult discussions about the fabric of the United States of America.
Introduction
Someone once said, Find your purpose in life and then do something about it
This is my WHY?
Our society is blessed and plaque with the various facets of Democracy. In America you have the right to be whatever you want to be if you are willing to work hard for it. This America that we live in, the land of the free for some but not all will continue to be a controversial endeavor. Black Lives Matter really became visible during May 2020 after the murder of George Floyd by Minnesota Police Officers. This murder that was viewed by the entire world on social media revealed the dirty laundry of the American Dream around the world. Our forefathers fought and died for the civil liberties that all Americans enjoy today. As a former member of the United States Air Force. We all have a right to speak out against what is right and wrong, to vote and protest peacefully for a better life. Then the laws of the land will prevail to ensure that our civil liberties which are the foundations of God’s Ten Commandments will serve and protect all American citizens.
I proudly served my country so that all Americans can enjoy the civil liberties of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
