A Conspiracy Comes This Way: My Awakening to Q
Melanie and Victorious lived a simple life, until one night they were dropped into the intensity and insanity of the real world in which we all live but have been blinded by. It started in underground chat rooms and stayed there, until it made its way into the mainstream media. Victorious, a successful stockbroker, had a secret. Victorious’ secret? He knew all their secrets. At that point, everyone had taken a bite out of the proverbial, biblical apple. As the clock ticks away, time running out, Victorious had to stop the greatest heist in American history, or his wife would be killed.

38885.pngM elanie was supposed to be out of town when I noticed her walking up the driveway through my home office window after she exited a yellow taxicab. To me, it seemed a little odd because it was on Wednesday, and Melanie wasn’t supposed to be back until Friday. But all the same, She came back early , I thought with joy in my heart. I have been missing Melanie since she went on an all-girls retreat
that typically had a duration of lasting a week. She and her friends did this getaway at least once a year. Last year they went to the Florida Keys, and Melanie always brought me back something cool from their adventures. From Florida, it was a seashell that she had put illuminous glow-in-the-dark clear-coat glue and the small amount of sand that was in the glue spotted all around the shell. At night, when it sits on the dresser in our bedroom, the shell would begin to glow like an uncloaking deep spaceship upon the backdrop of darkness the night would provide when we retired for the evening.
As I opened the door, Melanie’s radiant smile shined like always. Hey, babe!
she said enthusiastically as she put her bags down and leaned in to kiss me.
How was your trip?
I asked with the same ardor.
It was wonderful!
she responded with the same enthusiasm as I grabbed her bags to take to the bedroom. Melanie continued, Oh, do I have a little something for you. It looks like a cookie.
A cookie?
I asked. I haven’t eaten an edible in ages,
I jokingly remarked.
Melanie laughed and made her way into the house and began to decompress from what seemed to be a long trip. I liked how she always tells on herself, and she doesn’t even know it. Her tells
are simple. This year they went to San Jose to one of our mutual friends’ home because our friend Riley was having a bad time. The husbands of the group would normally go on a trip or hang out together as well. I didn’t do anything this year with the fellas because I was on a deadline for a personal project.
For you, the reader, to understand, these retreats Melanie goes on correspond with our anniversary. To all my guy readers, learn to do this: Get all her friends together, mention how you read a big star and his wife have a week off from each other every year, the girls pick a place, and the guys pick a place. But, gentlemen, get the retreat and your anniversary a few days apart. She will come back refreshed, and you will never forget the anniversary! And the gifts are always awesome. And the timing of the trip will always help you remember the looming anniversary. You’re welcome. Now, back to the story.
After I helped Melanie unpack, we cooked some salmon and uncorked a bottle of wine that she also brought back from San Jose. The music was my choice because she was too jet-lagged to think. Tonight I chose The Eagles. I mean, you can’t go wrong with The Eagles. We digested her trip and how it went. She gushed over how well Riley was taking the divorce. Riley’s husband, once a bro,
lost his shit one night and put hands on Riley. Nonetheless, she fought back. He got arrested and is currently on probation. All the girls went down there to give her emotional support and comfort.
I stayed home and worked. I didn’t mind it. It was actually a good time. My job is simple: I must tell the future accurately, daily, with as less mistakes possible to defend my family from famine, disease, and tyranny while fighting a corrupt and rigged financial system that is set up to swing markets to the highest bidder of the elites. In short, I’m a day trader. Crypto mainly. But I do have a well-diverse portfolio. How I got into day trading was strange at the surface. I picked up a pattern in the matrix, so to speak. Some folks watch the news,
but I really watched the news. The messages are everywhere. Most don’t know where to look or even what they are looking for. That’s where I shined and had done quite well for Melanie and me.
Melanie slipped into her pajamas and was eager to watch a picture show, and by slipped,
I mean she put on her black sweatpants and a Texas Forever
T-shirt. Oh, and by the way, a picture show
is a movie
in our house. Don’t judge me for what I call certain things, I’m sensitive. She decided on the movie Titanic. As Melanie and I lay engrossed in the cinematic perfection of the film, the day succumbed to night, and I found myself staring at that seashell from Florida as the soundtrack of Celine Dion’s voice perfectly captured the essence of true, innocent love and loss.
Melanie must’ve sensed that something was on my mind. Hell, I didn’t even know until
