IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
—2 Corinthians 10:4–5 NKJV
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

We All Should Learn a Lesson from the
Eagle in How He Deals with the Storm
I love the story of the eagle. Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?
Yes, the eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. So, when the storm hits at the set measure of time, the eagle will set its wings so that the wind will pick the creature up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.
Within the circumstances in which the eagle finds itself, it does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift its body higher above so that it rises on the winds that bring the storm.
My friends, the moral here is that if the storms of life come upon you, know that you must rise above them by setting your mind to the things that are above, toward God’s plans and His promises. We can trust God so much that we allow His grace and mighty power to lift us above every one of life’s storms the enemy throws at us.
By God’s grace, no matter what life throws at you and me, we will be able to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment into our lives. We can soar above the storms of life to stay within the shadow of the Almighty.
INTRODUCTION
No (temptation) trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.
—1 Corinthians 10:13 NABRE
The foregoing scripture is one of the most comforting verses in the Bible, yet it takes faith, living faith, to trust in what it is saying. Storms are like trouble. A storm is never a pleasant thing to experience, and sometimes a storm leaves individuals, families, communities, and nations ravaged and devastated. Most times, a storm is predictable; other times, it is not. So, the idea of troubles or trials, as with experiencing a storm, is never what anyone wants to think about, yet troubles and trials are inevitable in this life. I want to assure you that by reading Weathering the Storm of Life, every storm-like circumstance that is prevailing in your life or that life has brought to you has a deadline. That being said, think about it: If faced with opposition from the devil and his demonic alliance, do you demonstrate God’s defeat of Satan? What is your immediate reaction? Will you fight or take flight? A storm, regardless of its category, always has a time limit, an expiration date set, for it to end.
Jesus looks at life storms this way: In this world you will have trouble
(John 16:33 NIV).
The word trouble in the Greek language can mean persecution, affliction, distress, or tribulation. Jesus, in many of His words, warned us and reminded us that at some point in this life we will face trouble. It is never comforting to know
