About this ebook

Georgia:
My agent knows not to book any modeling gigs that have to do with Winter, and especially Christmas time. So why am I here in North Pole, New York? I've hated Christmas ever since I was eight years old, but then I meet Clark Rider, the photographer of my gig. Let's just say, he's sweet, hot and makes my body tingle. I wonder if he could be my happy ending…

Clark:
I first saw her at a fancy party for my mentor a year prior to this shoot. I knew that night I had to see her again. To, at least work with her, and maybe, just maybe, it would turn into something more. That brings us to the modeling gig that I hired her for, to promote Santa's Workshop.

Can Clark fix Georgia's Christmas spirit, or was this gig too much for her to handle?

Christmas Spirit Renewed - Andrea Marie

    Georgia

Where the hell am I? I think to myself as the cab I’m in is theoretically driving me to my next modeling gig. I’d just flown in from Milan, late last night, and went straight to the fanciest Lake Placid hotel I could find. Now it’s around ten in the morning, and I’m starting to get impatient. Why did I let my agent talk me into this?

All I know about this gig is that it’s in a small hamlet called North Pole, in the town of Wilmington, New York. I’m supposed to meet with the photographer, a guy named Clark Rider, who’s said to be this hot, new commodity that broke out onto the scene a few months ago. I was too busy working to hear all the hoopla about him. Now I find myself working with him in New York State, and during winter. Great!

I know I sound grumpy, it’s just that I hate this time of year. It’s December, it’s cold, and it’s snowing. I just want to go someplace warm in the tropics where I don’t have to be reminded of what happens during this month.

    Hey, miss, this is it.

The cabbie gets my attention and I look out my window, just able to catch a glimpse of the welcome sign for the town my gig is in.

    WELCOME TO NORTH POLE, NY!

I blink my eyes, hoping that what I’m looking at is a cruel nightmare. It can’t be real. My agent knows better. This place looks like Christmas Town.

The cab stops at a little diner where I’m supposed to have my meeting. I shake my head, pay the guy, then grab my carry-on and exit the cab. Just as I take a few steps away to look around, the cab’s tires spin and spray icky slush all over me.

Shit! That does it! I’m done. The guy’s lucky his cab didn’t get stuck or I would’ve had his job.

Just then, I hear a gentle voice from behind me.

Goodness, are you alright, dear? You must be freezing. Please, come in, and we’ll get something warm and hearty into you.

I turn around and see a warm middle-aged woman welcoming me into her shop. As I walk towards her, she holds the door open for me with a gentle smile on her face.

Welcome, dear. Let’s get you warmed up. I’m just brewing a fresh pot of coffee, unless you’d like a hot cup of cocoa?

I stop to think for a minute. I haven’t had cocoa since I was a kid. Naw, I’ll stick with the coffee.

Coffee would be great, thank you, um…

The woman smiles with a twinkle in her eye. Please, call me Carol. My husband Nick is working in the kitchen.

Thank you, Carol, I say as she guides me to a seat at the diner’s counter. She takes my jacket and hangs it up, then pours my coffee and hands it to me with any fixings I might need. I gently blow on my cup, lift it to my lips, and take a sip. Mmm, so good.

I’m glad you like it. I add a little cinnamon to each and every pot. Now, what can we get you to eat…

I realize that I haven’t said who I am. Oh, I’m Georgia. Georgia Daniels. What do you recommend?

Carol stands there for a second before she speaks. Georgia…what an enchanting name. Our diner special is the chicken stew in a bread bowl. It’s a standard here.

My stomach starts to grumble. "That sounds delicious. I just need
