About this ebook
Jesus was tempted when He had started His public work, following his baptism in the River Jordan. Out of the water into the fire, and it is the same with His followers today. When work is being done for God, the devil is ever ready to oppose it. When Christians sleep, Satan leaves them alone, for they are doing his kingdom no harm. What are the red flags of warning that we so often ignore? Is it possible to follow the example of Jesus, and in our own lives resist and even defeat temptation through God’s mighty power?

About the Author
This short book comes from My Saviour and Other Addresses by Henry Dening, published in 1890 when he was living in Bristol. In his autobiography, More Years in the Ministry, William Haslam writes about Geraldine Hooper before her marriage, "She was a great favourite in the street, universally and deservedly esteemed.
