The World of Monad, the continent of Wend, Felis Kingdom of Iis, 6020 from the creation of the world by the goddess Monad

Following the Ghost, Roni-Veronica found herself in a spacious room, illuminated by dim pale blue lighting. It took her eyes a few moments to adjust to the change in lighting. Having begun to clearly distinguish the outlines of objects around her, she looked around carefully.

Roni-Veronica was still surrounded by the futuristic setting of the spaceship, as if it had come out of an old science-fiction film of Earthly civilization. The Ghost and Lacrima stood next to her. And a little further...

Human of the Forest! Veronica couldn’t resist an astonished exclamation.

Indeed, a little to the side stood the Human of the Forest: a creature with a beautiful face, large dark green eyes, dark green hair and light green skin. Instead of legs, the Human of the Forest had two wooden trunks the size of ordinary human legs.

It was not possible to determine the gender of the Human of the Forest. The Human of the Forest had a beautiful face and long hair, which made the Human of the Forest look like a human woman. But there were no clearly defined sexual characteristics on the body.

The Human of the Forest looked at Veronica with interest and in a soft melodious voice, from which it was also not possible to determine the gender, said:

Didn't the Ghost's song work on you? How strange, the song always enchants the felises...

I’m not a felis, the girl answered, abruptly removing the hood from her head. I am a human, I am a Priestess of the Central Temple in Urbanus, I am a Summoned, I am a Priestess-pilot. And I demand that you immediately release my companion, Lacrima, whom the Ghost brought into a deep trance! I demand the release of all captive felises and arakuns! Otherwise I will be forced to use magic!

For a moment the Human of the Forest froze. But the Human smiled and answered:

Well, now it’s clear why the Ghost’s song didn’t work on you. The song is tuned to felises, arakuns and varnases. But so much the better. Thanks to the efforts of the varnases, the People of the Forest rarely manage to talk to the Summoned. And human help would be very useful to us. The captured felises and arakuns are all right, they are now sleeping in cryogen. And your companion will soon wake up from her trance. The Ghost's song lasts for a certain time.

Roni-Veronica was confused: the Human of the Forest did not show any aggression. And what do the words mean: ‘the felises and arakuns are now sleeping in cryogen’? Seeing her confusion, the Human of the Forest said:

You don't have to worry or be afraid. We do not wish to harm felises, arakuns, Summoned or varnases. Please just listen to me. And then you decide for yourself whether to believe me or not.

First, say your name, the Priestess of the Central Temple decisively demanded. My real name is Veronica. But in this world I am also known as Roni Rain.

Once upon a time, humans called me Primus. I am the first successful example of the People of the Forest project, I am the first Woman of the Forest. The lifespan of the People of the Forest far exceeds that of the felises. All the other People of the Forest are my children, and also part of me.

Part of you?.. the girl was perplexed. Although she mentally noted that she now knows the gender of her interlocutor.

We, the People of the Forest, are connected to each other by invisible ties, Primus answered. We have our own personalities and free will. But at the same time, we feel each other's emotions and feelings, we feel each other. Therefore, we easily unite when necessary.

Five hundred years ago you started the war with the felises. For what? Do you really need the lands of the felises? Do you want to cover the entire continent with forest? Many felises, arakuns and varnases have died at your hands trying to resist you! And many of those who are called Summoned, humans like me, also fell in battle against you! Roni-Veronica was indignant.

She remembered her first comrades in the World of Monad, who fell in the battle a hundred years ago. Anger clouded her eyes, she grabbed the short sword hanging on her belt and with a sharp movement pointed it at Primus.

"We don't need the lands of the felises. And we do not want to cover the entire continent with forest. It's just a coincidence that we attack every time the felis kingdoms begin to grow. We don't care about the felis population, we know it's fixed. And for this reason, the territories of the felises will not increase due to the destruction of our forest. The
