About this ebook
HERE'S A GLIMPSE by Marilyn Weik.
It is at the dead-ends that God's glorious power is shown! It's through life's agitation that a Christ-like heart is known. When we pull ourselves back to God's precious word, we run the race by His instructions we have heard. We say 'all this and Jesus too' as we thank our God in prayer.

Forward
When you observe a beautiful piece of jewelry, make note of the following. If a glistening pearl is attached, remember that it is the result of an irritant that found its way into the muscle of a clam and that the clam, in secreting a mucous over time, formed that beauty. If there are diamonds attached, remember they were formed by both great heat and pressure over time. Even the gold or silver that may be used to set the display was made useful by heat, burning away impurities.
So it is in the life of Marilyn. Over times of difficulty and distress, there has birthed the messages found in these poems. She is a living testimony of the faithfulness of God and a faith that stands even when one is unable to walk, and the greatest challenge can be transitioning from bed to a wheelchair. Her hope is secure, and her witness shines bright, as it will be seen in the pages of this book. What you read, she has lived! Yes, and I have witnessed this up close.
Therefore, dear reader, be encouraged and inspired that whatever you are facing, God will make a way and there is peace and joy in Him!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
AMAZING!
Don't be like Nebuchadnezzar,
Always pointing to himself.
Instead, be God's servant,
Removing pride from every shelf.
Then in your faithfulness to God,
Courage will arise!
Your heart will be humbled daily
As that haughty spirit dies.
Your steps will become steadfast.
Your voice will shout in prayer.
Then you'll be as Daniel,
For he knew his God was there!
His God was in the den
Where the lions could not roar.
His God listened to his prayers,
Rising higher than birds soar.
His God gave clear distinction
Of the writing on the wall.
His faith extended upward,
Beyond the image that was tall.
Dreams were not brick walls
To interpret or relay,
Because God let discernment flow,
With wisdom every day.
We can learn from sincere Daniel
And from Nebuchadnezzar too.
If we look to God and put Him first,
We'll be amazed what He will do!
ALERT!
Hundreds of years, prior to our time,
Pages were written for all.
Facts were given, foreknowledge told.
May we take heed to the call!
Lives were depicted, intricately so,
Of lifestyles and attitudes of heart
That would be on display, around people each day,
With unbridled passions, off chart.
In the last days, Second Peter described
Scoffers walking after their lusts.
People would be covetous, lovers of themselves,
Fierce, unrestrained, and unjust.
They'd be oozing with pride, unthankful to God,
Loving pleasure,
