She went on to work in the UK as a graphic designer, illustrator and art director, working with clients such as BBC Scotland, Scottish Ballet, Channel 4, Playhouse Disney and Lupus films. In 2010, along with her husband Harry Olden, she launched Happythought, a craft website, full of inspiring ideas, tutorials and fun printable projects. PROJECT 1:
CORGI CROWN
Holly the Corgi always carries herself with style and now with her new crown she has an extra bounce in her step! A fun accessory for any top dog,
Holly is going places.
Some snipping and a few quick stitches will result in a gorgeous little crown fit for any dog. You can also make your crown with glue for a no-sew option. What do you say, Holly?
YOU WILL NEED:
•Felt
•Scissors
•Glitter foam sheet
•Sticky gems
•Needle and thread
HOW TO MAKE YOUR CROWN:
1.
Copy the template in this book and cut your crown template out of foam sheet or felt.
2.
Place the red felt panels on the crown and secure in place with fabric glue.
3.
Make a cross stitch to join the tabs together and make the circular crown.
4.
Next take the shorter middle tabs and join them together with a stitch.
5.
Now fold in the top tabs and add a stitch at the base of each leaf shape.
6.
We used a ribbon on each side to attach the crown to Holly the Corgi’s head.
7.
Add some optional jewels and your crown is ready.
