About this ebook
"Is Jesus Christ really Michael the archangel?"
If you have read Ellen Whites "Conflict of the Ages” or Raymond Franz ' 1983 book “Crisis of conscience,” then “Laodicean Heretic” is your next must read.
Leslie Barnett, a former Jehovah’s Witness, addresses not only revisions made after the events of 1983, but one key dogma that he believes is so ambiguous that 40 million Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and Jehovah’s Witnesses are unaware of its impact on their salvation.
The dogma in question is coined “Michael-ism,” and was invented by emperor Constantine the Great who in 325 AD empowered Saint Michael as warrior, healer, and protector to the first Christian Church in Constantinople. Centuries would pass until the nineteenth century when a Mormon prophet named Joseph Smith taught Michael to be an incarnation of Adam while Sabbatarian Ellen White taught him to be the Lord Jesus Christ.
But the focal point of Mr Barnett’s book is on Charles Taze Russell, who being influenced by Ellen White's devotee Nelson Barbour, taught a freemasonry view that the fleshly man Jesus wasn't the only pathway to redemption. Russell believed that Jehovah’s first born angel Michael was created to help make a "Utopian Society." But when sin caught Jehovah unawares, Michael willed himself out of existence in order that his Spirit life-force be incarnated into another form. This form named Jesus was a temporal materialized body created as a one-off sacrificial offering. Then having no further use Jesus’ battered and bruised body was laid dead forever liberating Michael's life-force into other forms during the 40 days leading up to His ascension into heaven. Michael having reoccupied his office as Chief Archangel was then placed into limbo until 1914 when crowned King of Kings.
Russell's hypothesis ends with the battle at Armageddon, whereby he claims that Michael will continue to rule for a thousand years until Satan is completely destroyed at which time he hands back all authority to Jehovah God (1 Corinthians 15:24).In response to Russell's hypothesis Leslie says that the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Seventh Day Adventist have been deceived by Satan when denoting Christ as Michael. Leslie adds: "To even suggest that Jesus' was a temporal human body for the occasion agrees in principle to the ancient heresy of Gnosticism which says:• “Jesus’ body was not a real body, but a (spirit) phantom body that appeared to be human and only appeared to suffer.”
In his book Mr Barnett stresses that salvation cannot come through an angel or Avatar, but through a divine glorified body having many scars to remind us of whom He is and the purpose as to why His existence is made known to us. To this point Leslie appeals to all congregants of the Seventh Day Adventist and the Jehovah’s Witnesses to use their own discernment when making the TRUTH theirs and not others (John 6:53).

I was born into a dysfunctional poor family and quickly learned the art of commerce by selling papers and collecting empty bottles. School never appealed to me because subjects like the 'Queens English' with its nouns and pronouns made no sense to me due to my disability. But fortunately for me I was never bullied at school. Rather, admired for my talents in music and science when helping out my peers.Teachers unaware of the effects of autism became very frustrated with me due to my inability to concentrate resulting in one teacher physically assaulting me. As a government cover-up and for the sake of my younger brother's admittance into the same school, it was agreed by my parents and the Victorian Education Department that I take special leave at the age of fourteen. After leaving school I jumped from one job to another never really satisfied until I landed a job with a cash register company. It was there in among ‘living mechanical parts’ that my destiny was made known to me. Please allow me to share with you my spiritual calling. At the age of twelve I realised that my home and schooling was not of man’s doing but God's eternal plan ~affirmed to me at the age of five when experiencing an angelic encounter as mentioned in all my publications. It was from this tender age that I began to receive dreams that were unfortunately dismissed as normal fanciful childhood imaginations. However it would be many years later when receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit that these dreams were realised when teaming up with Billy Graham’s 'Youth for Christ' ( Ephesians 1:5 / Acts 1:8).Our Y.F.C team of speakers and musicians would travel in and around the Victorian country side evangelising in small churches preaching with zeal and enthusiasm. Added to the list were Church rallies, youth camps and coffee shops and street witnessing.During that time Christ’s message of love and peace was very much in vogue, made popular by the Civil Rights Movement and Vietnam War activists. The radio waves were bombarded with religious songs like “Jesus is just alright with me” performed by the Doobie Brothers and Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky.” Also high on the charts were religious songs sung by Pat Boone, and his daughter Debbie Boone whose song " You light up my life" was a number one hit.But the biggest surprise of all was Bob Dylan’s Christian conversion with recording album ‘Slow Train Coming’ which topped the music charts in 1979. There was also the Australian production of the hit musical ‘God-spell’ who’s leading lady was Australia’s own recording artist, Colleen Hewett. It was during that time that many Christians from all denominations including Catholics and Messianic Jews resembled early disciples with the same enthusiasm, preaching with zeal and boldness. Yes my friends those were the glory days when simply bowing before the throne in worship would touch hearts, including my own, and lift the spirits of those who sensed the incredible love of God (Romans 5:13).At that time God gave me an opportunity to be part of a live radio broadcast held every Sunday morning on Melbourne’s 3DB studios singing gospel music alongside Australia’s finest country recording artists, including Col Joye, Bobby Bright and Laurie Allan. But my biggest break came when Bill Armstrong invited me to his recording studio to sample some of my zany musical sounds for advertising jingles. It was from this gig that I meet Brian Cadd who later was to produce a number one hit song "Marshall's Portable Music Machine"Under the stage name Marshall, Brian Cadd's song opened up my career as a 'site act' in RSL clubs and TV shows such as ; A Current Affair with Mike Willesee, Graham Kennedy Tonight, and the Mike Walsh today show. I even had a gig with singer actress Eartha Kitt with Tommy Tycho's band at the 'Sydney Opera House' and a slot with Rolf Harris at Westfield's Carnival Capers.Another blessing came when a talent scout signed me up as co-presenter on a children’s morning show called the "Super Flying Fun Show" which opened a door into the Australasian Christian Broadcasting Association where I hosted a religious TV segment with a well-loved ventriloquist character named Elfie. Although just a children’s personality, anyone who appeared on TV was a celebrity which entailed a very rigorous schedule of church rallies, live TV and talk-back radio.Apart from music, I always had a keen interest in electronics, which not only enabled me to build my music machine but an animatronic robot named Algatron. This realistic personality was designed as an educational tool for purposes of teaching students the principals of Albert Eisenstein’s “Imaginary" problem solving techniques. One of the highlights of Algatron's career was an invite by the then minister for Science Peter Mc Gauran to be a mascot for the 1994 Canberra Science Festival. This engagement was to prove embarrassing when due to a technical malfunction Algatron spilled water all over Peter's shiny new shoes in view of a nationwide TV audience. When reminiscing on my 45 year career in the arts, I can see the hand of God when creating me an Aspie and for gifting me the skills inherited from my three times great grandfather (I.O.S) Edward Roberts. And although I've studied at (UPC) Bible College, my knowledge and revelation of God’s Word has been learned from personal experiences with several Christian denominations. But more-so my pedantic-ism in the arts of music, theatre, and science has given me the skillsneeded in the science of religious apologetics when writing my books.Currently I’m entertaining with my side -kick Tommy Tucker performing ventriloquism and singing Gospel.

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
Dear student, the most difficult part in writing any book is the beginning, and more difficult is writing it with a disability called, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) whereby expression is difficult to put pen to paper. I say this hoping that you will take my disability into consideration when reading this book. But before I begin my discourse, it’s important for you to understand that the purpose in my writing this book is not to condemn any Christian per se. Rather, false prophets such as Ellen White and Charles Taze Russell who, howbeit wittingly or unwittingly, robbed Christ identity when proclaiming Him as Michael the Chief Archangel.
I am aware that congregants of the Jehovah's Witnesses when reading this are doing so against what the governing body deem as religious propaganda. Should this apply to you, then I admire your courage for choosing to be a Berean rather than a sheep when investing your precious salvation with caution. Suffice to say, I was deceived into believing that being hand-fed whilst locked away in an enclosed pen was Jehovah’s way of maintaining a healthy spiritual diet. But when looking back at my eight years as one of the societies Sheep Class
brings to mind that old idiom, what you are is what you eat!
How so?
To the uninitiated, this idiom is used in relation to Mathew 24:45 and refers to the JW’s governing body as the faithful and discreet slave
whose shepherding entails dispensing food at the proper time. But I would reason that should the governing body of the Jehovah's Witnesses insist on using this analogy as the basis to their teaching, then all food contaminants such as the Reasoning Book
be removed from their shelves of learning. But more importantly, denounce Charles Russell’s Michal-ism hypotheses that was overlooked when in 1919 Russell's predecessor Joseph Rutherford purged the Bible Student Movement
of their so named Babylonian Beliefs.
Having said all of the above, let us now concentrate on the subject at hand.
The word of TRUTH is the power of God.
(2 Corinthians 6:7.)
I recall in 1955 when at the age of five in a small cottage in the outskirts of Melbourne Australia, being awakened by an ultra-bright angel bearing a message reminiscent to the words of Christ to Simon Peter: who do you say that I am?
And now six decades later I’m able to publish Peter's reply; you are the Messiah Son of the living God
(Mathew 16:15-16).
But today if Christ were to ask a (SDA) Seventh Day Adventist or a (JW) Jehovah's Witness; who do you say that I am?
Their reply would be; you are the Archangel Michael, first born Son of the living God Jehovah.
(Colossians 1:15 / Proverbs 8:22 / 1 Thessalonians 4:16)
The discrepancies as to answers posed must challenge one to question; how can the Messiah be both Christ and the Chief archangel Michael at the same time?
Well, according to the JW's and SDA spin doctors, Michael the archangel and the man Jesus Christ are one of the same identities but with different titles. Does this make sense to you? Before answering , let us put aside the SDA viewpoint for the moment and focus on the Jehovah's Witnesses explanation in their insight book volume 1,WBTS, 1988 page 56 which says;
•A conception took place; it appears that Jehovah God caused an ovum, or egg cell, in Mary's womb to become fertile, accomplishing this transferral of the life of his firstborn Son from the spirit realm to earth. (Gal. 4:4) Only in this way could the child eventually be born -have retained identity as the same person who had resided in heaven.
Was Christ's pre-human identity Michael the Archangel?
According to Pastor Russell Christ had a duel personality , one as the Archangel Michael via the spirit realm and the other a temporal fleshly body named Jesus. Russell claims that at the precise moment of death, Michael's life-force was separated from Jesus’ body when being dissolved into gases. No doubt a mindset made evident from his 1899 book Studies in Scripture
Vol 5 page 454 whereby Russell says : Jesus is dead, forever dead!
The truth that JW's don't want to hear, is that Charles Russell when defrauding Jesus’ identity was adhering to the rumour in Mathew 28:13 that His body never resurrected but was stolen.
Please ponder these two scriptures :
Now this is eternal life: that they know you , the only one God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent
(John 17:3 NIV).
I told you that you will die in your sins if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins
(John 8:24 NIV).
The importance as to why Christ posed the question as to His identity, was to teach that salvation requires one to believe that HE
the great I AM
is a living embodiment of divine nature who Jehovah God raised from the grave. This affirmation is expressed by Christians when ending prays in the name of Jesus ( John 16:24).
But the Jehovah's Witnesses prays to Jesus, howbeit in good faith, are only lip service due to their teaching that Jesus’ fleshly embodiment needed to be discarded in order that Michael's Spirit-life-force be liberated in Heavenly Kingship alongside Jehovah beginning
