GUARDIAN'S SPELL

Forged by Twilight Paranormal Romance

Love Awakens Their Royal Soul

For weeks, Blane Pazu, aka the immortal demon king Pazuzu, experienced the increasing pull of his lifemate— he'd felt her for years but suddenly it threatened to tear his insides apart. The timing couldn't have been worse; he needed to first find his lost amulet to break Lucifer's curse on his kind and thereby save humanity… so he chose to ignore it.

"This amulet chose you to form a mate-bond with the demon it belongs to. If you fail to find him, humanity will die."

Zara Santiago came to Sin City five years ago to hide from her past. She should've known better than to allow the supposed witch, Madame Hilda, to spout out her fortune. For one, she didn't believe in anything as frivolous as the mystique world, let alone demons or angels. Therefore, the amulet was set aside in her home and forgotten about… until it started to glow.

The day the black-haired pixie arrived at his gym, Blane knew he was lost. How could he trust a stranger who was asking too many questions and knew exactly what his amulet looked like? Was the evil goddess behind her appearance…or Lucifer himself? Why then, knowing the danger of trusting her held for them all, was it possible that the feisty mortal with the huge blue eyes managed to unleash Blane's darkest passion?

A Guardian's Spell had been cast but Blane was left wondering… who wielded the power? Him… or the mortal human?

Editor's note:

Otherworldly creatures, curses, and pleasures. Guardian's Spell will keep your eyes wide, your jaw hanging open, and your mind wondering just what doing THAT with a demon king with TWO would be like.

    Prologue

WITH DARK BROWN HAIR TIED BACK AND a neat goatee shining with the blaze of the fire before him, Lucifer stood by the edge of the forge, his head thrown back in fury. His tall, powerful stance vibrated with power as he lifted his hands in the air and started to chant.

"Forged by twilight, cursed by fire

Powers of each divided by my ire

    Sever them in three

One to true love it will be

One to the nearest object the curse will keep

The last with the beings, the power will sleep

To bring weakness to might, all three will need to be right

Forged in fire and light, bringing all beings' powers

together to be put to right."

Dane, a powerful werewolf, burrowed deeper against the tree making sure that Lucifer didn’t see him. When he’d first noticed him pacing, curiosity had made him stop and watch. Being part of the werewolves had its merits as he could travel in stealth, undetected. Lucifer’s fury was palpable, his chant ominous and as the last word echoed on the wind, Dane felt a ripping sensation deep in his being. He opened his mouth to growl in pain, but the sound was strangled in his throat when he succumbed to a black void as he slipped into unconsciousness.

    Chapter One

    The powers forever be yours

    Owner of the winds

    Guardian of the humans

    Encapsulated within the fiery globe

To be held close to your heart

And forever you'll be free to roam

    The realms of the universe

The Land of Desodotamia, at the outer bounds of the ocean, the entrance to the Underworld...

I AM PAZUZU, SON OF HANPA, KING OF THE evil spirits of the air which issue violently from mountains, causing much havoc. The timbre of the deep voice drifted over the ocean; guttural, and as dark and ominous as the words themselves.

He breathed in the pungent air as he spread his arms wide. Those who were already awake stared, as always, in awe at the frightening figure. Pazuzu was a hybrid—with the body of a man and the head of a scowling dragon-snake and the multi-penis of a serpentine. It was the distinctive canine and feline features that kept everyone mesmerized by the spirit with huge wings and talons like those of birds of prey. His deep growl trembled on the wind as he snapped his scorpion's tail and flexed his muscles. In the golden glow of the rising sun, the dark green-onyx scales covering his body shimmered along with the sharp demon horns on his head.

The Underworld was a dark and dreary place, but Pazuzu used his powers to make the sun rise every morning, albeit only to the corner of the realm he and his siblings ruled over. Everyone in the universe knew the Underworld was a realm invisible to the living, made solely for the dead, and didn’t offer any light or joy to those spirits bound by fate to fester and rot for eternity within the dark bowels of purgatory.

Ah, how wondrous to feel the heat of the sun kissing my skin. He stood naked and glorious. Some would question whether he could even feel the heated streaks playing hide and seek over the muscled valleys of his physique covered in leathery scales.

Since he worked and mainly lived among humans because of them needing his ability as a guardian to their race, Pazuzu had become drawn to certain, what he referred to as, earthly pleasantries. He used his powers to bring the two worlds together—something that infuriated the dark Satan to no end since he hated that any otherworldly beings had more power than him. He seemed to forget the magnitude of the Royal Hanbi siblings' abilities since, along with their own, they also bore the essence of the mightiest creatures of all—dragons. Although their powers seemed to have become weakened over the past couple of months, Pazuzu still had enough to taunt the mighty fallen angel.

Oh, for Hades’ sake, Blane! Do you have to parade your cocks to the poor innocents below every morning?

Pazuzu was known in human form as Blane Pazu, a name his mortal mother always called him and was used by his siblings to this day. It made living on Earth much easier since he didn’t have to adapt his persona too much—except of course to morph into a human body. In the past, it hadn’t been too much of a trial since he’d only done it the few times he had to wander to Earth when called by a human for protection. Over time, the dark forces had made his stints to Earth much more regular.

He flexed his muscles and laughed at the expression on the face of his sister, Phoenix, as his huge demon cock bobbed in a pedicular arch followed by its scaled serpentine dick twitching in response.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it, as Father used to say.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too many times to count. I’d say it’s time you find a different excuse.

She perched a hip against the wall of the luxurious cave-like balcony looking out over the sixth river of the Underworld, the Oceanus, that encircled the realm and marked the east edge they ruled over. The Royal Hanbi siblings were feared for their powers as demons as much as they were revered for the opposing protection they offered as guardians. It was for this reason Hades had given them the Elysian Fields to rule, the part reserved for those who led heroically or exceptionally good lives while on Earth. It was a place known for being restful, peaceful, and a blissful abode for lost souls.

What brings you to my chamber this early in the morning? Demons were proud of their bodies, however deformed some might be, and hated to cover themselves, but in deference to her request, he put on a heavy sleeveless cloak that fell to his feet.

Baruk asked me to meet him here. He has something he feels we should discuss.

Hopefully not another crisis, Blane grumbled as he sipped on the elixir called Curata, known to demons as the source of their evil. It had a similar dark flavor and aroma as the human’s energy drink—espresso—except it was a hundred times the strength and gave the boost their bodies desired. Want some?

You have to ask? She climbed onto the wide stone ledge of the balcony and stretched her legs out in front of her as she sat back against the wall. Phoenix was beautiful, even in demon form. Today she was adorned in shiny red leather panties with a floor-length split skirt attached to the golden snake circling her waist. The usual silver intricately weaved wire bra cups she always wore, covered her breasts. Hmm, the champagne of demons, she sighed as she took a sip.

Blane glanced at the sun inching higher into the sky. So, when is Baruk intending to arrive? I have to get to Earth.

You’ve been coming home more regularly as of late. Something bothering you at your lodgings in Vegas? She watched him with the usual burning glow of hidden fire in her eyes. As a fire phoenix demon, she had stellar control over anything hot, even his emotions at times, which irritated the shit out of him.

Blane stared out over the lush woods below—the one benefit of the realm they ruled over. It wasn’t dark and dreary like the rest of the Underworld. The sun bloomed brighter on the horizon; golden petals stretching ever outwards into
