About this ebook
I was the Alpha of my city.
A just and beloved governor.
In command of a court of Betas.
And a proletariat of Omegas.
I was James Wicked. I still am.
But to get it all back...
...I must kidnap her.
The daughter of my worst enemy.
Until they tried to dethrone me.
They kidnapped me. They locked me up.
They tried to sell me. I escaped.
They tried to kill him... Idiots.
No one can kill James Wicked.
I ran away leaving death in my wake.
Until I ran into her on the way out.
Bex. The daughter of my worst nightmare.
I kidnapped her. She was going to be my revenge...
And I was going to be very creative with her.
The daughter of some slavers...
... was going to become my personal slave.
Right now she's just my hostage.
In a dark room. Just like I was.
But she won't end up in human trafficking.
Or dead. She will be my weapon...
...to make her mine and turn her totally.
Let her think only of me. To serve me.
And turn her against her own father.

Broken Rehem - Aina Castillo
Dedicated to Carol and Amy
I
Humanity has reinvented itself so many times that it is difficult to keep count. The foundations have been built for towering civilizations whose walls fell for others to emerge. Men and women witnessed great figures emerge as immortal leaders whose imprint was eventually erased in time.
Of course, there were wars, of course there were deaths. Innocents of all nationalities and races perished a cruel fate. An effort was then made to control the massacres and madness, so a pact was made whereby the lives of all beings would be respected, and the testing of chemical and nuclear weapons would be forbidden.
That worked for a while. The premise of an ideal world was always shadowed by the expectation that something bigger and more dangerous was brewing. The notices were silent, the reason? There was too much harmony for a fool to dare break it. The image of peace had to be preserved.
In the early hours of an ordinary night, a bomb exploded, wiping out an entire village in the Middle East. There were no questions, no answers. Just one more bomb, and one more... And one more.
The sea was stained red and so was the land. Misfortune populated every corner like a plague. People ran from one place to another, while corrupt governments consumed natural resources at disproportionate levels.
Death joined famine and disease. Orthodox religionists began to say that the Apocalypse was fulfilled and that the new world order should be embraced by faith... But it was not.
In spite of the fanaticism and madness, a group of powerful men, among politicians and owners of companies still standing, decided that they had to take the final control to avoid worse catastrophes. All of them made available their knowledge and money to build again the foundations of a new civilization. Due to the importance they gained over time, they became known as Alphas
.
The Alphas would be recognized as the elite of the elite. Men, women and children descended from these first men who led the Earth to a safe shore. They inherited power and control, for which the rest of the mortals had to show respect.
From there, society began to change drastically. The social structure fell away from the existing model to a system that was very harsh for others. After the Alphas, the Betas were the most important social group. They are those who were able to take some of the money and power but were not able to place themselves in the highest stratum. Even so, they were able to take control of some important bodies and entities. Not bad.
Finally, there were the Omegas. The worst class composed of renegade men and women in poverty and chaos. For them, destiny was to fight over food or a place to sleep.
Gradually, the division deepened. The Alphas and some Betas resided in the cities and luxury centers. While the Omegas had to make do with the dark and damp streets of the periphery. They had to fight each other in a constant battle for survival.
Of course, this meant fighting among themselves. Clashes became frequent and suffocating. There were dead, wounded and destruction in the cities. It was a movement with a force of its own, the complaints and claims for freedom and equality, marked more the need to bring about change.
Life became a kind of time bomb; every instant was marked by the possibility that something could break loose and change things completely.

One of the main rules of the Alphas that would help them maintain power was to pass on leadership through family inheritance or by economic and political merit. In this way, order and preservation of status would be guaranteed. The Betas would be in charge of, among other things, the court and judicial system. Although this was of little importance, since in the end the decisions would be made by the most powerful.
The Omegas, in this case, would be the labor force, the workers who would give their skin and flesh in large corporations to receive a pittance. However, they would also be the architects of radical and pro-equity movements to prevent the continued mistreatment. In addition, it would also be the epicenter of those perversions that the Alphas and Betas would deny so much but, in the end, they would fall for them like flies on honey.
In that difficult and murky context, James Wicked was appointed as the most important Alpha in the city. He, a descendant of one of the richest and most powerful families in the country, owners of almost all the lands and properties, would be in charge of keeping in check those who acted rebelliously and against the laws. Whoever he was.
Since he was a child, he had an incredible sensitivity to business and order. In fact, his parents were surprised to realize that he was one of those children who were not so much interested in playing as in learning.
So, they enrolled him in a series of courses and workshops to hone his innate talents. Languages, sports and business.
Thus, James gradually became a child prodigy. Mentally and physically skilled. Before he was a teenager, he already knew Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, French, English and a little German. In addition, he was incredibly quick with numbers and everything related to the rational part. It was unbelievable.
It was more or less the same in sports. He had the natural ability to be practically the best at anything, although swimming and athletics were his favorite disciplines. In short, James was an example of the perfect child born into the perfect family.
Not only did he stand out for his wit, but also for his physical beauty, which was supernatural. White, blond, green-eyed and with the facial features of those now extinct Norse gods. To watch him pass by was to be amazed by that phenotype that was becoming more and more imposing. He was the worthy representation of the Alphas.
As he grew up, he added kindness and nobility to the almost endless list of virtues he had. It was obvious that from an early age he had already captivated the Alphas around him.
However, beyond his level of excellence, he also felt pressured and burdened. On him would fall practically the responsibility of a city and a huge group of people. It was a thought that was becoming more and more recurrent and, therefore, heavy.
But he tried to relax about it. During those years, he focused on sports and studies, on being a happy child and teenager. He took advantage of the stability, the beauties and the comfort that had acted as a kind of protective layer. It was the perfect bubble.
As an adult, James turned out to be one of the most attractive and intelligent men in the circle. Unlike many, he chose to pursue higher education to perfect his already extensive knowledge.
However, there was one aspect that could not be ignored. While he stood out for his particular intelligence, he also became aware of that behavior that demanded control and discipline for himself and others.
He showed signs of wanting to lead other children and to spearhead decisions about play and other activities.
-He will be a good leader.
Teachers told his parents. A sign of greater joy that he was the heir to take control of the city when he grew up.
However, that feeling grew stronger and stronger. James, however, found an interesting way to channel it, beyond the physical activities he had. So, he became president of whatever group there was so that he could understand that feeling that was becoming more forceful in him.
It worked, for a
