Jesus Christ Is for Real

About this ebook
John Ghironte looks back at his life, including a near-death experience in 2008 that convinced him God is real in this autobiography.
The fact that the author was ever born is a miracle, given that his father wanted him aborted—but when his mother visited the doctor, the pregnancy was already too far along. Born with his mother’s umbilical cord around his neck, he was lucky to live.
Growing up in Communist Romania, his dream was to one day escape to the West. But his hopes seemed to be all for naught when Army recruiters caught up with him as a teenager.
He made the fateful decision to make a run for it and he became a political refugee. Eventually, he found his way to the United States of America. His first job was at an apartment complex near Dallas, where he mowed grass and painted for $4 an hour. Life was good!
A near-death experience led him closer to God, and ever since, he has followed the Lord. While he’s not sure why he was permitted to live, he wrote this book so that others may also believe in Him.

37512.pngI feel mournful writing this memoir. My mom just passed away on Saturday morning at four o’clock, New Year’s Day. She was eighty-one years of age. I know that she’s in a better place. I will write about this in my last chapter, letting everyone know that there is life after death for everyone who believes in the Father, Jesus Christ. Amen. I never got around to writing this book before as I’ve been busy working two jobs and taking care of my family the best I can. But this time, with my mom passing, I went to the store, bought a notebook and a couple of pencils, and started writing.
My name is Ionel John Ghironte, and I was born in Adjud, Romania, on May 8, 1965, the son of Alixandru Ghironte and Aneta Hanga. I dearly love my sister, Lenuta, and brother, Alexandru. I was told that before I was born, life was pretty harsh. Both my parents were farmers, but my dad had it worse. He was ill, suffering from tuberculosis (TB) and spending a lot of time in the hospital, leaving my mom alone with two children and all the work that needed to be done to survive. Imagine. It was rough.
When I was thirteen or fourteen, my mom told me that when she got pregnant with me, my dad wanted me aborted. I imagine that he could not afford another mouth to feed, being in their situation. Of course she had abortions before; it was very common at the time. My father sent her to the hospital to take care of it. But when Mom went to the hospital and spoke to the doctor, he told her it was too late to do it. I think my mom
