The author is a graduate of both Texas A&M University and Lamar University with degrees in sociology and business entrepreneurship, respectively. Growing up into a poverty-stricken community has taught the author to elevate beyond measure in order to defy odds in all that he does. He has a very unique perspective that he writes from that is very intriguing to his readers. He also displays depictions of everything he writes about that make you, as a reader, feel as if you experienced the journey firsthand. People from all walks of life can be touched by his writing style as well as appreciate how he challenged himself to bring social commentary within his books.
