    AUTHOR’S NOTE

As I finish reading James Comey’s book, A HIGHER LOYALTY by the way my congratulations on being a great book

He left me thoughts; of my youthful life and the time I lived in New York, having seen and heard so much in the early years of my adult life. James Comey begins his book with this question, which means a lot to me:

Who am I to tell others what ethical leadership is?

If we analyze what is ETHICAL LEADERSHIP

Ethical leadership is based on the leader’s ability to focus the organization’s attention on ethics and values and to instill in the organization the principles that will guide the actions of all employees. Truth?

Also remembering the reading of my Brother Mario’s book Where are your glasses?

In his Prologue he asks a question; who am I, what am I?

Also to my brother, Mario Alfaro, my congratulations on a tremendous book, with a lot of teaching

I also think that reading the book by Mary L Trump, "TOO MUCH and NEVER ENOUGH" has influenced a lot.

That in her prologue ends like this: I can’t let him destroy my country

Also my congratulations to Mary L Trump, for the courage to write about her family; Very good book on family secrets

These three books have influenced me tremendously, reaching the conclusion; IT’S my obligation as a human being, citizen and head of the family. Write this new book which I am going to title, IT’S THE Time

Reading these three books almost simultaneously, the first being by my brother Mario Alfaro, That book left very nice memories of my single life, because in those years, I worked in an agency of the government of Perú, getting to know a variety of people from different social and economic classes. As I remember, I observed the tremendous opportunity I had in life that I did not know how to take advantage of due to my young age and not having a good counselor.

The second book was that of Mary L Trump, for me a good book of family secrets, refreshing my memory, that if indeed every wealthy family has family secrets. How the secrets of state I refresh my memory of those years that I worked for the government in which one day I listened rumors that a Coup of State was coming but, nobody believed me including my family.

The third book was that of James Comey It awakened in me, a variety of observations and they filled my thought with memories, which were towed until my childhood

Surprising me once again the wonder of our memory

Making me reflect and ask myself once again who am I?

And what am I here for? Two questions that I believe every human being should also ask themselves in the course of their life.

Being the most important question I think, why am I here?

Thanks to my notes and vivid memories, I hope this book will be of great help, primarily to keep Love and Respect for others. to achieve A better planet

    BROOKLYN

One of the Five Boroughs of New York City.

Brooklyn, is everyone’s style. The most populous borough has no one defining draw—people come for live music, eclectic eats, Eclecticism from the Greek eklegein, to choose pro sports, immigrant history and world-class culture. Of course, you’ll cross paths with all kinds on the majestic span of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The desire to share my lived experiences, which I think today are very interesting due to the complicity of their variety of experiences for being multifaceted. The first step, that we are going to know the meaning of the term multifaceted, and discover its etymological origin

We know that it is a word derived from Latin. –

The prefix multi-, which can be translated as a lot

-The noun facies, which is synonymous with face

-The suffix -tico, which is used to indicate relative to

There are words like this, which despite being widely used in our language, are not part of the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy. As multifaceted, a concept that is used as a synonym for polifacetic; Clarified the point we continue.

When I arrived in New York in the late 60’s, I met many very interesting characters, that are how I see it today.

Mr. Jesús Gill, was a very peculiar character because of his height, his hands almost reached the ground when he was standing and he had over a hundred tattoos on his body. He was 95 years old, when I met him. The way I met this character is very interesting to me.

It was a very sunny Saturday of the month of February, with a lot of snow on the ground, because it was winter and there had been a few days of heavy snowfall, in those years it did snow several days in a row.

In those younger years, I love it to walk, I said a lot to get to know the city well, I lived in Flushing Queens, but that day I was walking in Flatbush Brooklyn, to be exact. It was like 2.30 p.m. when I see a short man carrying sacks one on his shoulder and the other almost pulling him. I walk over and ask him if he needs help? He looks at me, smiles and asks me in perfect Spanish, do you think you can help me?

I answer, yes sir, I see that they weigh a lot.

He smiles again and says to me, let’s see boy if you can load this and he give me, the one that was almost pulling.

I grabbed it and tried to put it on my shoulder as he carried the other bundle, Impossible weighed a lot for me. I ask him, Mister, you have a dead body here? He laughs again and tells me no boy it’s my tools, I just fixed a boiler in the other building. Without knowing what a boiler was, I answered, oh!

With the experience of 95 years of life he realized instantly that I did not know what a boiler was. Upon reaching the building, it was impressive, its large glass and Iron doors, the radiant and shiny marble floors, the crystal chandelier lights as with 25 bulbs or more. AWESOME

He opens the door with a key and we go to his apartment on the front of the door has a gold sign with black letters that says Superintendent.

When we arrive, I feel very loud dog barking, to which he tells me, boy if you have good intentions and you are a good Christian, you are welcome, my dog reads thoughts?

To which I answer, I have been a sacristan until I was 14 and a half years old. To which he responds Catholic the boy.

Upon entering to the apartment, was his beautiful dog, a black German shepherd, with a look of few friends, he speaks to him in a language that I did not understand.

The Mister asks me if I knew in what language he was speaking to the dog. To which I answer dog language.

He laughs and tells me, no boy is German, my dog is German. I look at the dog who wouldn’t take his eyes off me, that dog was so focused on me that I came to think that he was really reading my thoughts.

The Mister, tells me, don’t worry about the dog, when he is sure that you are a good Christian, he will be close to you.

He invited me to a delicious coffee and he introduced me to a brand of cigarettes that I had never smoked, was nice too, in those years, I was a chain smoker. Some friends said I smoked like a bankrupt Chinese.

I got along a lot with Mr. Grill, we became good friends, we spent hours and hours talking, well he was talked more, since he had been around the world 10 times, he said.

He was a retired steamer, working 32 years for a company. According to him there was no place in the world that he had not been. He had coins from all over the world; through him I met a 1921 Peruvian Gold coin (Sol de Oro Del Perú)

He was also retired from the New York City firefighters, 30 years of service. And he said now, I am superintendent of these two buildings.

My question was; why do you work so much?

To which he answers if I don’t work I die. My next question was do you have a large family? He smiles and sadly tells me, I am alone on planet earth; I was an only child, like my Mother and my Father; I only have my beautiful dog, German shepherd. We got to have for such, a great friendship, that he told me everything about his past and present life, and he told me that he was just waiting to be called to go to the new eternal life, that no one returned from there because it was better than here. Something similar to what my grandmother Zoila used to tell me, when she was tired, of the daily routine.

He advised me to always save for rainy days.

He said if you have a job, the first thing you have to pay is yourself and always save 10% of that. For the old age, this is an example, when we are young, we do not know how to listen to the voice of experience.

I say today, what would have happened to me? If I had followed his advice, how much money would I have saved for my old age?

One day he asked me: Tell me why does the devil know so much?

I answer to him, because he is the devil.

To which he tells me no boy, the devil knows because he is old.

He laughs and tells me I know more than you, your father and your grandfather; and then he said.

That is why in life you have to pay close attention and observe how you do it, see how much you have learned, so many different trades. Now you know how to fix a Boiler, electricity, paint, plumbing, mechanics, carpentry, my God how much I have taught you. But you have taught me to eat delicious, you are a good cook. Save your money and open a Restaurant. To which I reply, one day.

Our friendship lasted until he passed away to better life, as he said. He taught me a lot about life in our years of friendship, he told me that I was a SELF-TEACHER. That I did not know who I was, nor what I lived for with time you will know. Was truth, I had not discovered yet another of my skills, in The kitchen

Indeed, I was a man who was beginning to live life, and trying to understand it, mainly what he told me, he knew about each of his tenants, what they did and did not do. The stories were amazing.

He talked about all the people he had met on his trips around the world and the special characters he met.

He said that in each port he had left a Love and made himself sad.

I asked him why he never married or had children. With sadness in his words, he told me that those are the mistakes that you make in life and when you realize it, it is too late.

He tells me, boy let’s not talk about me, let’s talk about you, how many children do you think you’re going to have? I automatically answer five. To which he replies, Wauuuu. How confidently do you say it boy.

I start to tell him a childhood story, when I was playing with my fingers, trying to catch them before I could move them; I wanted to be faster than my mind. Since them was moving before I could grab.

He tells me boy I’ve never heard such a thing. But what does that have to do with, the five children you want to have? I ask him, have you observed your fingers? He answers me why. To which I answer: when I was a child I asked everyone, including to the Priest José from my parish, why had God given me five fingers? Most of the big people answered me; they have given us all five fingers. I insisted, No, why me? There was not a single person who gave me an acceptable logical answer. I continued with my thoughts and asked to God why? He never answered me. After seeing the birth of my first nephew, who was born in my bed, and verifying that the stork did not bring the babies, as the grandmother told me. I concentrated more on my fingers and I looked at them as if they were small people and said to the thumb, you are a fat male child, to the index finger, the middle finger and the Ring finger, I told them that they were ladies for being skinny and to the Little finger that it was a small male child, little boy. My conversations were deeper with God, I would speak and say that if, what I thought was true, the day I grow up and get married; I wish I had five children like my hand, but in this way, one male, three female, and the last one a little boy, my promise was, the last of my children would carry my name. Not the first as was the tradition. At the end of my explanation, Mr. Gill says to me, boy you are amazing. God bless you.

Last October 20, my youngest son turned 44 years old, and he is the one who carry my name Angelo Alfaro Jr.

As you can read, I did, keep my promise to God? That my last child would carry my name, the promises that we made, have to be kept because it is our WORD, that we give Not only because we promised it to God, it is our Word I come from an epoch or time when the Word was sacred.

If we analyze the meaning we got surprised. It is in The 10 Commandments. Is our second Commandment Do not take God’s name in vain? Is equal to: (an Oath)

The purpose of sharing this story of my life, is to show you, that we forget many good experiences that we live in the course of life. That is why My philosophy of life is to do good without looking at whom

Let’s analyze: From a religious point of view, it is an act that makes, God a witness to the truth, of a fact or the sincerity of a promise. For this reason they use the Bible when an Oath is executed.

Irony of life my first business, I bought it with a handshake, and giving my Word of Commitment to purchase.

From Mr. Gill, I found out, which Fredrick Trump was. He was the son of Friedrich Drumpf — immigrated to the US from Germany in 1885 at the age of 16. When he became a citizen, he changed his name to Trump, He knew him; he said that the son was very racist person, that was Fredrick Trump in the properties he owned, in Brooklyn and Queens he did not rent to Latinos or blacks. In the 70’s he had a lot of legal problems for that reason.

He also said that Fredrick Trump, had children who were spoil, useless, not good for anything, nor were even useful for collecting rent; He also asked me and he answers: do you know what the worst thing about money is? They teach them to lie, they look for a way not to serve, what is the obligation of every young person, MILITARY SERVICE they even appear with two left feet. (A great Truth, we know it now)

Today I verify that Mr. Gill was telling the truth. From him, I also learned who it was John D. Rockefeller son of Mr. William Rockefeller Sr. who was an American businessman, lumberman, herbalist and salesman, His third child who founded Standard Oil in 1870. The company grew to control most of the oil refining in the USA. Make John D. Rockefeller the richest man in the nation and the first USA billionaire.

He told me, that his money would be left to Mr. Rockefeller, because he would not change his life, for being a money man.

Leaving it to a poor person would ruin their life, since money always causes problems.

He also told me, about Henry Ford, son of William Ford, an immigrant from Ireland and the mother was Mary Ford of Belgian descent.

Henry Ford was the Founder and Leader of the Ford Motor Company, another millionaire, which made the best American cars.

Incidentally, Mr. Gill had a beauty car green 1948 4-door Ford Sedan, looked almost new.

Remembering the years lived with this personage, which was a book of teachings, in those years I did not give it the real value, due to the immaturity, but now I have the opportunity to share, so much teaching and wisdom, that Mr. Gill shared with me. It is my obligation, and the duty of gratitude, to share these memories with the readers.

We will begin by analyzing the word SELF-TEACHING

Self-taught is a person who instructs himself when learning something new. This means that they use their own means to carry out the learning process independently, without the help of a teacher.

This word is of Greek origin and is made up of the terms autos and didaktos that mean by itself and educated.

Indeed, today I verify that all the knowledge that exists in me is thanks to the reading that since I was a child, I was forced by my maternal grandmother, the trades learned by Mr. Gill, I trying to perfect it every day, in the running activity of jobs.

The Mr. as I used to call him, he liked a lot to call him Mr., he introduced me so many people of different nationalities and
