In Memory Of Mom
I praise God from Whom all blessings flow for His love, grace and mercy are everlasting. Your life of love exuded nothing but honor and glory to God, which gave me the precious gift of a relationship with Him. As you accompanied Daddy while he preached the gospel, it was your life that touched the masses and was a sermon heard around the world. Your strength was unlike any I have ever experienced, yet you were the epitome of beauty, humility, femininity and loyalty … what a mom—what a woman! As your first-born, I watched you weather many storms and exercise a faith that really did move mountains, whereby giving a new meaning to your favorite Bible verse and daily mantra, I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…
(Gal. 2:20 NIV). It is because of you that I can say with conviction and confidence that God is my love, my life, my strength, my courage, my rock, my salvation—in Him do I trust! As I consistently witnessed His loving care for you, I know He cares for me.
You were always the prettiest, smartest, most talented and most fun Mommy ever, and we (your daughters) know and cherish the thought of just how crazy in love with us you were. We are Vivi’s Girls!
As if the gift of salvation was not enough, God in His mercy, allowed you to sleep first to keep me motivated towards heaven. I really can’t wait to get there so I can be with you; get some more hugs and kisses, hear your angelic voice, see you sport your magnificent crown, and watch you strut your stuff as only you can. Mom, I miss you, but hey, you fought a good fight and you ran a great race—you deserve a good nap! See you in heaven, Mom!
All my love forever,
Tere
Dedication
To my children, Vivian Grace, Desiree Michele,
