A CRY FROM HEAVEN’S EYE
You are as beautiful as a gleaming sunset,
Let thy loving kindness preserveth thee;
Bold with compassion, eager to bet,
The winds of laughter draw upon the sea.
As the seas calm amongst your presence,
Your eternal smile brightens the sky;
Sometimes, too complex at past tense,
A distant cry from heaven’s eye.
Donning fair skin, sometimes bearing gray,
When the external lines grow’st like buds;
Your beauty blossoms like a sunset astray,
Like the fruit of the cattle that chew their cud.
Lost in a world of glitter and fashion,
Quick to the talk, a loving reaction.
A DARK AND DREARY MID-SUMMER NIGHT
On a cold and dreary mid-summer night,
Between the titan along the river;
Through the clearing, a dark throne upright,
Yes, a quaint quiver, a most unholy shiver.
For I have reached the end of a desperate journey,
A route lolling and lonely;
With a taste of wisdom, guided by the sea,
As still waters are alone and free.
Towering behemoths stand tall over the horizon,
While the swift and clever butterflies spread their wings;
Thus, heavily covered in silk a darkened sun,
As a tiny flock of sparrows sings.
All so distant within this marvelous crest,
Down by the black woodland, roaming souls;
Aloft on this venture or quest,
As written by the underworld on scrolls.
A DEATH WISH
Set the silver sails to the east,
Feel the warmth over the dew;
Shimmering, shocking, go west,
Go astray, his greatness with so few.
Sometimes I wish that I were dead,
Render the smallness of this reality;
Prowling in the shadows through seas to plant my seed,
Let’s not mince words, I shall find my dignity.
Because mimicked by other phenomena,
To see a firefly in a fireworks display;
Slippery, sliding like a penna,
Fight today to live another day.
Humming birds and honeycreepers, drifting in eddies of wind,
A death with looms;
The slanting glass will bend,
Life and death are pivotal, it glooms.
A DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD
Is to take no action still an action?
It’s like fighting without fighting,
It is like finding a distraction;
But like being faster than lighting.
Even when there are no winds,
The sands still sing;
The quality not quantity of life still bends,
As to adopt one’s values, keep them under their wing.
Do you feel this on the horizon?
And if you do share my views;
Look and look up towards the sun,
Forsaking this world, I have paid my dues.
A FORESEEABLE DREAM
How long must we suffer in this foreseeable dream?
My instincts and desires running wild,
Or do we want to suck greedily on life marrow and gleam;
To once agree and disagree, a running child.
Foreshadowed, to reveal the heart of darkness,
And to foresee the future;
Stop the craziness, insanity or madness,
Climb as high as you can possibly dream, then rupture.
A LETTER TO GOD
Oh Lord how I wish this pain within my heart would cease,
For my soul has traveled the world in search of peace;
For all the harsh words I have spoken,
Many a heart has been broken.
For I have often questioned my worth,
Even in the realm of birth.
So
