()
About this ebook
Look around you, and it’s obvious: There is a leadership gap.
Dr. Addie Adelekan, founder of the Children’s Leadership Initiative, points out that millions of dollars have been spent on leadership development, but the gap still exists. She’s also found that most of the solutions proposed to solve the problem has focused on adults instead of children.
Geared for parents and educators, this book provides the necessary tools to raise good leaders. Learn how to:
• identify good leadership traits in children;
• engage in developing good leadership habits when children are most impressionable;
• take practical steps to close the leadership gap.
Capped with a list of 140 different ways to develop good leadership skills in children, this is an indispensable guide to fostering a new generation of effective, ethical, and caring leaders who lead with a spirit of service.

I
dedicate this book to those who inspired and supported the work and to those for whom it was written. I dedicate it to my great grandfather Sir Timothy Adeola Odutola, who has consistently inspired my work in business, charity, and legacy building. I dedicate it to my children, Oluwadamilola (Lola) Adelekan and Oluwadamilare (Lare) Adelekan, who have also inspired me to do my part in making our world a better place for generations to come.
I dedicate this book to my brother Temi-tade Kujore, my parents, Subuola Kujore and Adedapo Kujore, many close friends, and family members who supported my doctoral research with their presence and prayers. I dedicate it to the parents and educators who will take a moment to consider what they might do differently so that their children will be better positioned for good leadership. Lastly, I dedicate it to all the child leaders for whose benefit it is written.
