Who would’ve known I would create this HUGE world! Every new place I visit inspires me to feel new and released from my childhood. PROLOGUE

    28 YEARS AGO, YEAR 2079…

    NAMORANT DIMENSION, JUNIO’S MOON.

GUARDIAN OF MALITHIA. Lord Vex, I am honored that a wizard of your caliber would come to my abode.

A disembodied hue that sat atop of the planet sounded a lot more delighted than it should.

GUARDIAN OF MALITHIA. What brings you here – to my sector of Namorant?

LORD VEX. Spare your seductive soliloquy, Guardian. I come with a proposition. Do listen well…

The former ruler of planet Vexion, serving as a Great along with Anielias and Boigos. He normally detested these types of visits, but it was one of the few times where he had little choice in the matter to do so.

Space was not only home to many a planet but many a dimension as well, and in each dimension lay a Guardian that either sat in its peaceful slumber or actively ruled over the area in silence. One of the more notable ones – synonymous to a demigod in some ways – happened to sleep on Junio, the twin moon to Pluto. It was honestly unfortunate that this all-powerful wizard had to end up here in the first place. But even with her god-like superior powers, Vex knew that every Guardian had a weakness that could undeniably be used against them. These old goons – old voices, rather – had ruled long enough. It was time for the Xeiar wizards to take over for years to come.

Still, despite his complaints, this Guardian was.. genuine with every word that slipped out of its mouth. It was said that its the kindest out of all of them, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to it than that. It was almost as if that tone began to shift upon listing his proposition to it.

LORD VEX. …So you see, that is why I implore you: step down from your position as Guardian. He huffed. Your old traditions will not work in today’s times. It will not be long before magic users of all kinds take over and drag it to its new era.

GUARDIAN OF MALITHIA. While I understand your concerns, I believe that worry has consumed you more than it should. The voice let out a wispy, echoed sigh. You are not the first one to request such of me – alongside my brethren. But you are the first to make it here. It is not easy to suddenly shift positions, as each dimension has a completely different way of life. Surely you of all people know this. No one knows I am Guardian over two dimensions. You have no idea what you’re in for if you were capable of de-throning me.

LORD VEX. He sneered through his grand majestic robes and held his hand out to the silhouette. Then you leave me no choice.

GUARDIAN OF MALITHIA. Vex, don’t be fooli!

With a snap of his fingers, Vex silenced the guardian, and with another snap of his fingers, a red and purple flare engulfed him. He was able to land a nick in the purple haze, but it looked like the guardian projected a barrier at the last second.

LORD VEX. Scoffs. Clever, very clever.

The Guardian was not going to go without a fight. A wispy hand appeared from the cloud and sat – palm flat – towards his direction to fire a bright white ball to him. It knew what he was casting – Dark magic that no one should be allowed to use.

Still, by the time guardian was able to cast its spell at him it was far too late. The ultimate power from their magics alone blasted them, causing a plethora of rifts to appear around them. Though Vex was able to stop himself from flying out, the Guardian was not so lucky.

He wasn’t quite sure where the guardian over Namorant was going to go, but he knew one thing for sure: he had done the deed he came to do.

He looked at his now decaying hands and feet in shock. What started to happen to his corporeal form, he understood that this was the end. It was inevitable, going against a being very close to a god. It would take some time for him to recreate a body that could hone his powers, but that was fine. The time of a new leader had arrived, and all… unfortunately the Xeiar God wasn’t able to survive this battle.

    BOOK 0-1

    RISE OF KAKLISTA

    WARRIORS

    YEAR 2098 –

Takes place three years after the Damonarian

    v. Quinoragoras War.

    FLASHBACK!

    ISOLATED DIMENSION. PLANET EARTH.

YEAR, 2087. Richard Maxill’s College Field Trip.

It had been hours since Richard Maxill started digging at the expedition site.

The professor had tasked the class to find something rare and this was to be a large chunk of points, literally without finding something, no one would be able to pass.

Richard is college-aged of 19, 5.11", slim body, blue eyes, and long jet black hair which is full at the top and going down touching his lower back. He wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about this particular class, but he needed to pass it as his college degree was hanging on it.

The site was huge and all the students, including the professor, were on site. Each person had his or her instruments, i.e. brushes, etc. All are engaged in the back-breaking work of very slow and careful digging.

This evening, he had been digging since the sun came out hoping he would find something.

It was past dusk now and getting dark very quickly. He was just about to give up. He was far into the ground. This was the deepest part of the dig site and he was tired and exhausted. He had dropped his lamp. It began to flicker and die and he was trying to see what was wrong with it. It flickers a few more times before finally dying. Then, the college student noticed a faint blue light. He turns and discovers that it’s coming from the ground in front of him.

    He had finally found something!

He takes his brush and starts working on the area until finally removing a glowing blue-black translucent metal. He doesn’t even have to run a test on this to know that it was rare. He had never seen anything like this and the metal began thumping in his hands for seconds as if it was a living heart. It stopped after three-to-four movements.

    One month later.

It has been a month since Richard found the strange metal. After test studies, the school’s science department found out that it might be something new to this world; meaning that the metal was of alien origin and not of this Earth.

The speculation is that it must have followed a meteorite that had fallen years ago to our planet, and the carbon dating process showed it could be a hundred years old. How lucky was he to have found the most unique object in the whole dig?

He thought as he laid on the bed in his dorm room, staring at the metal in a glass box and the certificate he was handed for his outstanding performance and relentless attitude towards finding the metal. He’s quite pleased with it.

His room had gray walls and his bed filled one side of the room, while the other bed was exactly opposite him with a space in between where the reading tables were.

    YEAR, 2098.

Richard Maxill’s sitting in his apartment.

Once in a while, he would hear the occasional thumping again. And breathing, which only he heard. It didn’t happen all the time but when it did, he felt it like it was his heart beating within the metal. It was in perfect sync with his heartbeat and it was weird and before he didn’t pay too much attention to it.

Today, it was different. The beating was not just in sync with his heart; it was loud and clear. He could have sworn he heard it and while it beat for the first time since he found it, it started glowing and is emitting a low blue light. Now, this he could not ignore.

He got up and went to the table. He sat down on the chair and picked up the glass box that housed the metal. He opened it and removed the assumed alien artifact from its glass casing. He slowly examined it in his hands as it was breathing and glowing. It was like he was carrying his own heart in his hands and as his heart raced out of his confused state, so did the metal.

Suddenly, the light got brighter and blinding. Strange, bizarre memories of a world he’s unfamiliar with and witnessing battles against a race of huge gigantic demonic-like creatures. Mere seconds after, the whole vision reverses and he’s back in his room.

RICHARD MAXILL. What the hell just happened? He asked and continues to stare at the metal in his hand.

Not even a minute passes! An even brighter light emits from the blue metal and this freaks him out! He tries to drop it, but it was affixed on his hand. He vigorously shook his hand, but it refused to come off. The relic started to feel like it was getting larger. He tries to tug on it, and it started creeping up his hands at a fast pace.

The metallic relic jumped to the other hand and as he scratches both hands trying to get rid of it, it only crept all over his body faster.

RICHARD MAXILL. Help!! He spoke, trying to scream but his voice came out as low, monstrous, and inaudible.

The metal had now spread to his legs, and the majority of his lower body spread fast to his head. He needed to go for help. He tries to make it to his door, but his legs would not budge. He falls heavy on his knees as the object starts to weigh him down.

RICHARD MAXILL. ARGH! He tries to scream again as the metal creeps toward his face.

The student looks at his hands, and they form into huge claws at the end of his fingers and his now adjusting new legs start looking like the hind legs of a dog, and then the metal covers his entire body like cold reptile skin. There was no longer that feeling of metal.

RICHARD MAXILL. What’s happening to me? He fears for his mind being taken over. Someone – Somebody – Heeeeeeeeelp!! He says again but the voice that came out was not his own.

Soon his face was covered with the metal, now appearing as grey skin. All he sees is darkness. He can feel the whole place around him vigorously vibrate like the intensity of an earthquake high on the Richter scale; then, the pain returned. Searing and agonizing, hot pain enveloped him like he was being melted in a furnace burning with white flames. He tries to scream, but nothing came out.

This is the first time in more than a hundred years, the King of the Quinoragoras, Gorvin, the all-powerful, can feel his own scaly, long fingers, and take a breath of Earth’s, unnatural to him, fresh air.

The look through his own icy blue eyes was clearing from the adjusting transformation. The wind blew through his black-blue skin as he stood upright. Twelve feet tall he stood from the ground and stared at the vast expanse of space around him. He stood to the forest; far past the desert and beyond the horizon. Darkness hit within a flash and became clear in a second.

He was far above the whole planet on the highest mountains of Devina, in a newly built tower that extended even further into the skies of the planet.

    KING GORVIN. Finally.

MELVIN. Eyeing his lord’s return with an admiring caress in his eyes. My lord – Is back! Says in a raspy voice.

The King turned and saw his most loyal servant.

Melvin had been the king’s right hand for eternity, since day one. Since the king first started to take over the world’s, up until a Xeiar God at the time, Lord Vex, destroyed his corporeal form. Not one day did his loyalty waver.

He was a crafty battle Quinoragoras unlike no other. He was not very tall and yet was slouching. He was one of the few of his kind.

He’s in a low bow with one of his hands raised above his head. He would not dare to look at the mighty Gorvin straight in the face as an equal.

MELVIN. We’ve been preparing for this day, my King. For five years after the war with those filthy Damonarians.

Something didn’t sound right to the king as he looked at Melvin questionably.

GORVIN. How long have I been gone? He asked.

MELVIN. Far too long, my King.

GORVIN. Speaks strongly, but quite low. How – How long, Melvin?

MELVIN. Quivers by the subtleness to his master’s voice. Um – Gulps. Well, it’s been over hundreds of years since your real defeat and cost of your body, but recently our race had finally fallen. You were there, a part of your soul anyway, five year ago leading the Quinoragoras in the war. There’s only four of us who were eagerly awaiting your return, master. He answered nervously.

The King looked around and saw a simmering, shining black chair that had been prepared for him. He immediately makes his approach and smiled. He turns and walks closer to Melvin. He uses his right hand to lift his face so that he can look into his eyes. Surprisingly, there are tears.

GORVIN. I take it you used a Xeiar enchanted transport relic to bring me. Pretty sure I was on Earth. Exhales, leaving the thought at bay. It’s been far too long. He said then he immediately moves to the edge of the tower to look down at the world beneath his feet.

MELVIN. As you can see we have taken over this planet, but still, there’s much to do. Now that you’re back, I’ll send a decree! Let the remaining Quinoragoras know of your return. How King Gorvin, the all-powerful, has returned.

There’s a planet with a race of peaceful beings called, Devina. It’s in the Namorant Dimension, a great distance away from planet Quidior. This planet is presently a wasteland, having been destroyed by years of battles. The world gave up and died. There’s no way to live on a planet that doesn’t produce oxygen anymore.

All the Quinoragoras were killed in the war of 2093 thanks to King Gorvin, who wanted to rule the entirety of the Namorant Dimension. All but a select few were elsewhere, in hiding.

Three years ago, the Damonarian versus Quinoragoras War eradicated the Quinoragoras race. The king lost his life in battle. The king’s remains were spelled inside of ancient relics and sent to another dimension by a Xeiar wizard with Xanpo’s help. After the war, a few Quinoragoras jump-started their takeover plan, just in case their king should return sooner rather than at a later time. Four of King Gorvin’s most loyal followers were on planet Devina, in secrecy.

Presently, the second-in-command, Melvin, have all the Devions into two slave camps, Camps Qui and Nor. They are far away from each other. The Devion’s race is not a huge number.

The Devions are a race of humanoid creatures that look demon-like. They have slender long bodies, pointy ears, angular body features that stood out, and varied when it came to the complexion.

They wear clothes made out of a thick, furry hide to keep themselves warm.

    AT CAMP NOR…

ONE DAY PASSED SINCE THE KING’S ARRIVAL.

MELVIN. Watching the Devions hard at work and shouts. Stop slacking off! You vile Devlys. He kicks a water container, spilling the water on the ground.

JAKULA. He stops digging, drops to his knees, and looks up at Melvin. Hey!! He raises his voice. That was mines!!

MELVIN. Looks at Jakula. It was yours you stupid Devly. He steps past Jakula, walking past all the other hardworking Devions.

Lilion is hard at work, on the ground a few feet from Jakula. Lilion waits until Melvin is far away from them.

LILION. Whispers. You can have mine, Jakula. She pushes her water container towards him and continues working.

JAKULA. Qwuitan. He used a phrase familiar only Devions use, meaning ‘Thank You’.

    ONE HOUR LATER…

Melvin makes his way to Quidior Capitol – a building dedicated to their takeover of the Devion homeworld; the Quinoragoras base of operations.

Melvin steps inside to greet his master, King Gorvin.

MELVIN. Master. Are you feeling whole again?

Gorvin remains sitting in his chair with his eyes closed. He’s in deep meditation.

    MELVIN. Master?

GORVIN. Exhales and opens his eyes. Everything is becoming better. All thanks to this unique vessel.

MELVIN. That’s right. That Damonarian did send relics, with your essence trapped inside all, to another dimension. Pauses and remains quiet for a few seconds. What part of Earth exactly was you, Master?

GORVIN. Stands up. Ugh, the place was odd. Pauses for five seconds. How are the Devion’s behaving in both camps?

MELVIN. We still have that one young Devion who’s struggling the most.

    GORVIN. Growls. There’s always one.

MELVIN. Yes, Master. He’s becoming quite the rebel.

GORVIN. Shouts. Melvin!!!! You know how that behavior turns out!! Growls. Fix it.

MELVIN. Yes, Master. Bowing his head.

GORVIN. I say he’s a little overdone. Eliminate his bug behavior, Melvin.

MELVIN. Oh! Master. He’s just one. The rest are following orders. I shall take him out as quickly as possible. He walks out of the door, exiting Quidior Capitol.

On planet Devina, time is based on the setting of the red and blue moon, the Devlerlue moon. The colors shift patterns, letting the Devion’s know when it’s day or night. The sky remains dark and never brightens.

    FORTY MINUTES LATER…

Jakula and Lilion are walking from Verrosl stream, not too far from camp. They were filling their water containers. They are walking back to camp.

JAKULA. He’s holding onto his water container easily using one hand. If only I knew Kaklista, I could make those Quinoragoras leave our planet for good!

LILION. She’s holding her water container using two hands. But Jakula. Kaklista does not exist!! That’s a story our gran-ascendants told us when we were little Devios.

JAKULA. A Devion can dream, can’t I? Laughs.

Melvin springs out, high in the air, and lands on the ground three feet in front of Lilion. The two Devion’s fall on the ground, spilling water out of their containers.

MELVIN. He takes one step closer to Jakula. Poor wandering Devion’s.

Jakula gets off the ground, standing up. Lilion is on the verge of tears. Jakula had enough of Melvin’s crap. He’s pissed off and irritated.

    JAKULA. That… was not… nice.

MELVIN. He’s watching Jakula with a smile on his face. Fall back, Devly.

JAKULA. He has his fists clenched. Call me that insulting word one more time.

MELVIN. You stupid, lazy, ignorant, poor, weak, and scrawny Devlys.

Jakula yells out loud and runs toward Melvin. He leaps in the air and is coming at Melvin in a high jump kick.

    INSERT-INSIDE-TEXT!-Malvin-vs-Devion.jpg

Melvin’s body becomes transparent. Jakula kicks through Melvin, falling on the ground. Melvin, whose body is now solid, grabs Jakula’s shirt collar and raises him high in the air. Jakula is being choked, as he starts grabbing Melvin’s right arm.

LILION. She never moved from her spot. Let him go!!

Within ten seconds, Jakula passed out unconscious.

    It’s dark.

Jakula sees himself standing in paradise. There’s darkness everywhere. He cannot see in front of him. Suddenly, a flash of white lights flickers three to four times. The light shines brighter and stops flickering. He sees a figure standing in the light. The figure is hidden, all you can see is a dark silhouette of a person standing in the darkness.

UNKNOWN ENTITY. Do you want to restore your homeworld to the way it was before the Quinoragoras attack on your people?

JAKULA. How’d you kn— He shakes his head. Never mind. Yes! But how? I have no special abilities.

UNKNOWN ENTITY. I will grant you special abilities– A unique special ability I’m sure you’ll love. This power is called, Kaklista. Magic similar to what the Xeiar wizards use.

JAKULA. I knew it existed! He takes a deep breath. I’m ready to save my people.

The figure raises its right arm. White lights fill the area around him. Jakula thought he would be a superhero, but it appeared that the figure left.

JAKULA. Wait!! Don’t go. How will you help meeeeeeeeeeee!!!! His voice echoes.

The white lights are blinding and Jakula wakes up in a cell prison room.

JAKULA. He sighs. Nice job getting my hopes up. I thought he was real too. He is feeling disappointed, realizing it was all a dream.

He just had a thought. It hit him. Lilion was left all alone with Melvin. She could be dead. Jakula runs to the cell bars, trying to pry them open.

JAKULA. No! I got to get out of here. Lilion needs me by her side. He starts to carefully examine the prison cell walls.

A few minutes later, Jakula hears a voice inside his head. The figure is speaking telepathically to him.

UNKNOWN ENTITY. Tap into what you desire.

He closes his eyes, at the same time, grips the cell prison bars. Nothing is happening. After thirty seconds, the bars start to feel hot. It’s not hurting his skin. The bars turn into a liquid. Jakula opens his eyes, amazed at what he just did.

He sees a door up ahead and he runs to go open the door. The door is opened. To his surprise, Melvin is standing there watching him.

MELVIN. Devly. He says in an angry voice.

The angry creature quickly grabs him by his neck with his right hand, lifts him off the floor, and pushes him back into the prison cell to the back wall. Jakula grabs Melvin’s lower right arm, struggling not to pass out this time. After forty seconds, Jakula’s eyes start to glow the color crimson red and Melvin’s right arm starts burning. The creature yells out and drops the Devly.

MELVIN. He backs away, massaging his right hand. He growls while looking in his direction. You refuse to obey. I’ll kill you right here! He stops massaging his right arm and charges forward.

UNKNOWN ENTITY. He speaks telepathically to Jakula. Concentrate, then act!!

JAKULA. He rolls on the ground, avoiding Melvin’s punch then dives under Melvin’s legs. He stands up, turns around, and faces the very huge creature. Whoa.

MELVIN. Furious, he turns his body to face Jakula. Little Devly picked up some new skills. No matter. You will never beat me.

    UNKNOWN ENTITY. Speaks telepathically
