Preppy the Pin

Little Preppy the Pin lives in a sewing box in Grandma’s cottage with his mom and dad. Unlike everyone else, Preppy never gets chosen to help because he’s too small. He’s told that he will find his special purpose someday, but the waiting makes him sad.

After Grandma’s cat knocks over the sewing box, Preppy gets stuck on a little girl’s shoe and dragged outside. It’s a dangerous world, but Preppy makes it safely to a milliner’s shop, filled with fancy hats—and that’s just the beginning of his journey!

Alina Burova-Cole

Alina Burova-Cole is a former childcare provider. Clement Cole is a small business owner. For both authors grandmas (for Alina grandpa too) were an enormous influence, inspiration and a constant part of their childhood. The idea of the little pin came about from the love of embroidery and memories of grandma’s sewing and knitting.
